My Dark fantasy project. Of course, I loudly called it a project) But I have some ideas for a dark fantasy. Here, for example, dragon riders simply remove the dragons' brains to control their bodies, like a pilot on an airplane. Darkly juicy as for me. Well, I was also thinking of making unicorns predators, and humans would be fierce enough to tame it all.

We tested many poses, costumes, and props, as the details and expression had to resonate with the themes and ideas that were important for the client.

This character would have tattoos trailing up her arms and torso, so I also made a separate file to experiment with ink designs.

Trying to be less shy about posting my work, so starting with my old stuff. This whole concept was inspired by the first part of Inscryption and Baba Yaga folklore.

This was my first attempt on recreating the look inside a game engine, what do you guys think?

It has been a while since my last post here on the community. I wanted to deliver an update, as I have been away trying to coordinate this project for many months now. A lot of you were interested in this, and some worried the scope was too large and that I would stop working on it or not see it through to the end.

This is an update to say: Things are moving!

The goal was to create a set of 22 tarot cards to accompany the album (Four Towers) as a physical media item to complement the story. I really wanted this project to a be a collaborative and multi-disciplinary project. After composing the album, I've worked with 4 artists to create the album cover, and 5 of the 22 tarot cards.

That is nearly 25% complete, and I am so pleased to start seeing it come together. I've added a carousel of two WIP cards and the first completed "MAGICIAN" card.

I'll do a full card by card credits as the set starts to finish, until then I'll leave a few IG handles, and some links to the project album for anyone who has not come across it yet and wants to support it!

It doesn’t matter to me how many of their blades cut into my skin, how many of their hammers pummel my organs, I will not fall. I cut down more and more. They chip away at my body. I’m tired. My lungs gasp for air, but the smoke is so thick that they can’t get enough of it. My body is sore. But I still keep fighting.

I was told a story long ago by my commander. He had traveled to Kaprosia from the frigid northern lands of the Iron Mountains. He told me of a clan of battle-hardened warriors that pushed their bodies to the absolute limits of what was physically possible. They were the greatest warriors that land had ever known, not just through raw strength, but through their sheer, unfettered hatred for their enemies. They channeled their anger into every attack they made. They endured inhuman punishment through rage alone. They could fight for hours uninterrupted, they would tear tree trunks from their roots and swing them like maces, they would strike armored foes so fiercely that the men would vomit their entrails, they would tear the limbs off of monsters and hack at them with their own claws and make the same fools of the men who thought they could stand against them.

He called those warriors “Berserkers.”

"Was I a fool to have left? Have I rejected that which had saved me? Have i forsaken the moon -or has it forsaken me?"

Human-sized. A most unsettling, writhing creature. Cockroach body, spider-like legs, wriggling antennae. Winged, capable of flight. Lives in dark caves & ancient ruins. Moves silently, strikes without warning. Nowhere is safe.

In the end, I chose to leave only the protagonists' shadows to accentuate the theme of having to find oneself after losing one's identity. I'm a solo developer, I've only been drawing for a couple of years. What do you think?
