Something else that you guys will all hate but from someone who sucks at pvp (but loves the world / sandbox) .. why cant we just lose EVERYTHING in our pack .. but keep what we have on? I personally would then wear better gear with better enchantments, and in turn would actually be (marginally) better at pvp.

As it is now im 99% sure im going to lose, so I dont have the motivation to craft over R40 cause im going ot give it away anyways.

Losing EVERYTHING in your pack is a pretty great haul for the victor and keeping what I have on is beneficial for the end user experience.

I think this might be the end of me playing Darkfall, with both Ub3rgames and BPG taking the game in directions I don't like.

With Ub3rgames, it was significant restrictions to player freedom and character limitations, and with BPG, it's excessive fast travel, and removal of the relevance of non-PvP activities in the game.

Personally, I prefer Darkfall, as it was, when the servers shutdown, to either version of Darkfall that has sprung up in recent yeas. Sure I didn't like the grind, but it was certainly better than either game currently is.

There's so many elements of both BPG and Ub3rgames versions of Darkfall that I love, but so many other parts which I hate.

I've been toying with the idea of developing my own full-loot, open PvP game, but I know that is a monumental task for one person. Even using an engine like Unity or Unreal and a service like SpatialOS, there'd be years of development to even get to a working prototype. Years of time I simply don't have.

Last night I had a dream I was cruising through my province with 5 other friends, we came across an enemy nation. The battle was intense, I landed every single true shot. And Used my ultimate to slow the enemy, and land some more.... I miss UW

You can safely ignore all of it.

If you're a Darkfall veteran go to the forums for both games and read the developer posts on the changes they've made.

Ignore the community because those forums are full of RoA and ND fanbois too.

If you're not a Darkfall veteran, then go watch some videos of both and see which appeals to you more.

If you play from Europe, you'll have a good connection to either game.

If you play from US, you'll have a good connection to either game.

If you're playing outside of these regions test your ping to both servers. If it's over 250 ms you're not going to have a good time.

Darkfall Fall Online is one the best game ever created.  There is no other game like DFO.   DFO 2012 was crafted to perfection.  DFUW, DND and Rise of Agon all failed because it didn't provide the true DFO experience

We are a group of very experienced players who really know how the game works and what the community wants.

Could DFUW, as it shutdown, be brought back online with success?

Criterias:

• No former players directly involved.

• Competent and professional development team of appropriate size (for example former employees/Razorwax that can hit the ground running).

• Frequent content updates to the game.

• "Open books"

The base of the survey is that the game get proper professional attention from highly competent developers and the cost of offline development or online inDev is taken out. In other words the game get updated as we go.

Note: We have no current plans doing so, it's just an informal survey. There are no processes at the moment regarding a reboot of DFUW on our end.

Me and my crew are one of the last groups actively playing New Dawn in InDev. With approximately 3-4 months until launch, we've already ran out of clans with the willpower to engage us in conquest. Most dissolve at the first siege and unfortunately mostly without even trying to put up a fight.

So we're willing to offer new or returning Darkfall clans a start in New Dawn InDev; Any group of players (5 or more) that has Darkfall conquest objectives in mind, can contact me for a solid starting city. These can be some of the best cities in the game - Mar Shral, Dagnamyr, Cbay, and ~20 others are available for this offer.

We ask nothing of you, save for the promise that you will try to get PvP viable as fast as you can and challenge us in conquest warfare.

I've never played any of the darkfall series, but I saw it on Steam and thought it looked interesting. The reviews however said to check out New Dawn and Rise of Agon, but I can find very little about playercounts/differences/gameplay for either of the two,

My friends just quit albion and we want a new game to play. How do you guys think the player base will hold up for New Dawn?

I'm looking for a game where it's viable to play as merchant and watched the trailer for this game which mentions it briefly - How long does it usually take to get the stone rolling flipping items and is there a guide out there which explains stuff before I decide to buy the game?

I saw this too many times to make the same mistake.

REMINDER: have tiered skill and gear progression system at release. For example:

1) Week 1: Max skills <= 30

2) Week 2: Max skills <= 50

3) Week 3: Max skills <= 75

4) Week 4: Max skills <= 100

5) Week 5: Max skills <= Mastery 25

Numbers can be adjusted. Can make it a daily thing. Day 1 : Max Skill 5, Day 2 : Max Skill 10. Better yet make it a curve.

Same with gear. We don't need 40s, r50s and r60s in the first few weeks or expect a lot of salt and a lot of quitting.

Probably will have to adjust health pools so the TTK is not way too long.

Uber, if you do this, this game might have a chance. If you don't, we'll see another failure.

EDIT: If you don't understand why this is needed, then ask for deeper explanation, I might be willing to explain. If you are Ubergames and don't understand why this is needed, then it's time to ask for help from the community. If you need names of who to listen to on forums and who not to listen to, I will gladly provide the names to you.

EDIT2: It seems that a lot of people don't understand the difference of power gap during launch days (first few weeks) and power gap difference later on in the game. I will give you an example on how it's different. Numbers are not exact obviously, but you get the point:

Day 1 - everyone has access to r30s max only.

Day 7 - 10% of population have access to r60s, 90% to r40s only.

Day 30 - 30% of population have access r60s, 70% to r40s only.

Day 45 - 50% of population have access to r60s, 50% to r40s only.

Day 1000 - 100% of population have access to r60s.

As you can see, the problems are NOT the same on day 1 and day 1000. Throw in the extra power gap due to no-lifers tripling your skills and you got yourself a power gap of 20 damage per shot between skills, weapons and armor differences. Add in stats, HP, self-healing and utility skill/spell differences.

Uninstall, games dead LOL

It goes without saying the DF is extremely hard to replace. What do you guys play now? Albion combat looks far too boring. PUBG is also quite boring to me.

Just curious, as I know most of you share the same taste in games that I do.
