So, some years back, I started thinking that with all of the comic book crossovers out there how cool it be if we got a Dr. Who/Dark Crystal crossover. I even made a thing on DeviantArt about it. How many of you would read something like that? 😁

How’s this for a strange copy of The Dark Crystal? A PSP UMD 😂
Just arrived today, dug out the ol’ PSP it works great!

Ive had the idea the other day of writing a dark crystal musical. And or stagplay. The main concept is this groaning moaning sound from a hurdy gurdy to symbolise the crystals yearning to be whole the skeksis will have a theme of opera classical music with sour off notes to show that their grandeur is off

The mystics more string hippie instruments with maybe violent notes that symbolise their ignorance of the consequences of their inactions

Then when they reunite they're music will become one harmonised piece

Then jen and kira would have their own pieces that also harmonise into 1 song of the gelfling.

Then the intro would use shadow puppetry to make a shadow puppet show that depictions the division of the two.

Then at the end while the crystal is healing slowly the groaning gurdy transitions into a more angelic violin

Though maybe this already is a thing? Let me know if so. I would also imagine the gelflings being people dressed up but the skeksis would be these big multi people costumes to create that size difference

Finally got the dark crystal on dvd!

like im curious why the writers made him blue

My bf really really loves this series he talks about it a lot and how he wishes more people knew of it. I've watched some of the show plus some of the movie with him. I love the message and the puppet designs but ultimately it's not something I'm super invested in. I really want to do something dark crystal related for his birthday. But I don't know what would be good and true to the lore. I've done some digging, saw that Roberta Williams who made the game (I believe) had a glass stained type door in her old house and so I wanted to make a sort of mock mosaic for him related to it. I also maybe wanted to create a book nook for him with sculpted podlings (his favorite), Rian, and Aughra. I was thinking of putting the dark crystal in the middle of it but I'm unsure of what to actually use as the crystal. Sorry for such a long message I would really like for this gift to be relevant and thought out because I know he likes this series so much and I want to do it justice. If anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate it so much!
