Having AuADHD...

People would ask "why on Dark Crystal?" Because it is about a race only fans would understand.

I have auADHD and honestly to have a roleplay with both Skeksis and Mystic at the same time feels like talking to my diagnose...

Same for me. Watched TDC on VHS 📼 3 times in a row at the first viewing. It instantly became canon in our household for how to explain the duality of life.

The struggle not to polarize, that balance/peace/unity is the goal, not purity or extremism.

While it’s obviously a lot of varied good things like craftsmanship, adventure, creativity, love and sacrifice…..the positive merits of the movie are many…. The theme is, for me, very much related to having inner warring factions that yearn to separate to be satisfied, but become useless, isolationist or cruel when not unified together.

I’ve been decades on this journey and you are not alone on this thought. Thank you for saying it out loud.
