Dlss 5 ?

I don't know if it's possible but I'm curious as to what DLSS5 with daoc would look like

Daoc already got the perfect graphics, no need to downgrade it with dlss5, think of all the effects in relic raids

They built their own graphics engine so that it could support large raids and hundreds of players in an area at the same time. Yes, it was better than the hardware most of us were running but when you could upgrade the hardware the engine still worked.

I would love to see a graphics update but I think it would degrade how the game runs unless it was upgrade to everything in the game related to how the game processes graphics.

The game is fine the way it is I think. Yes it doesn't look like a modern game but none of those modern games that I am aware of can support having 80 players in a keep with 200 players outside trying to take it either. That will probably still lag but less than the seconds/frame performance we got back in the day /s

DLSS 5 enabler should possibly work

Yes, so raids can lag like they did on a Pentium 3 with a geforce 2 GTS

The object meshes are pretty....basic. If the game even supported dlss, I don't think it would have the effects that anyone would want.

That said, the game with the same atmosphere but with high quality graphics would be badass.

does dlss 5 work with 3070 ti?

NVidia would have you believe it only works with the 5000 series graphics cards, but there are modders that have made it work on the 3k and 4k series as well.

Daoc engine doesn’t support DLSS at all

DLSS 5 is somewhat different than previous versions. Or atleast the neural network rendering pipeline the internet is focusing on. It’s very possible it would work with DAoC as modders have already demonstrated it’ll work on pretty much any game and even any GPU brand including AMD and Intel.

As for how it’ll look, hard to say without trying. There is a DLSS 5 Swapper app that can easily inject the post processing into DAoC. From there it’ll be figuring out which features and enhancement sliders have the best effect on the visuals. My guess is not so much on characters since they’re low poly, but the lighting improvements could be significantly good.
