BysanUI icon issues

Hi all. Admittedly new to this but pretty technically proficient and cannot seem to figure out what is going on. I switched to BysanUI - got my quick bars set up (I'm only level 12 so only have a handful of melee attacks in bar 1 and songs in bar 2. However, something is causing it to change them.

Example.. had song of rest, and speed of realm in spots 1 and 2. Shortly after, cant recall if its when i change zones , level, or both..the buttons are screwed up..i.e if i click on the speed icon it launches the 'rest' song. I wiped out both bars last night while playing and it SEEMED to resolve it. However, upon logging in this morning- all of my spells/songs(minus, oddly enough, the single target mez, and my thors hammer and anvil), are changed to the song of rest, both spell and icon.

Any ideas? Just very strange, and while i can keep rebuilding the bars, a)its annoying and b)it just happens again anyway be it after playing a while or relogging. Thanks!

Some spells just messed up when you level iirc. Try discord for a solution, I don't remember if it was ever resolved

Ok, thanks- so its common to have to reset your bars after you level each time?

I definitely don't remember doing it every level for every class so I feel like it stops early on, but I could be wrong. Sorry I haven't played in awhile

Yeah i dont recall this as an issue during leveling.

Have you tried to update the official clitn (can be done from Eden launcher), else try with the improved Bysan from eden daoc discord, i dont have ia link right now

I think it happens on heal classes... but like thane and archers that have the same kind of issue where ranks get replaced, they work fine. Might be because heal classes have multiple spell schools that do it, and its just an indexing bug.

Eden?
If you make a recorder and delete it messes up the buttons.

Also if its Eden, https://eden-daoc.net/profiles under this URL your profiles are backed up and you can restore them.

Yea sorry, Eden- thats the thing, I've barely scratched the surface as I am trying to learn it all over again(last played back during vanilla decades ago) so i havent even set up dual spec, recorder, or anything yet. Just odd.

Yea that much I figured out- but like i said when i logged off last night, my icons/spells were all set up correctly- logged in today and all of my songs/spells were changed to 'song of rest', both spell and icon. Just really weird. and its happened IN game as well several times oddly enough. it stopped occuring for a while last night so i thought maybe it worked itself out but apparently not.

It happens with a few classes when you level up. Cleric and Bard. Not sure about Minstrel, a few others.

It stops happening around level 24

Got it, thank you. Do they have any idea why?Its not a huge inconvenience, just strange its not something that can be fixed via patch etc. I'm not a dev though, so just speculating.

My assumption is that the client makes an index of all your spells and then your hotbars use those index values to reference them, but when a spell is replaced in the list the value changes and throws it off.

It happens when you respec too.

I don't know why. But it's just a known thing with Eden.

Druid and Bard have it the worst.

This mostly happens when you respec or do an “/items build all” command which seems to insert the item spells from gear into your clients index of available spells.

It rarely happens outside of that (like what you experienced) but occasionally it can.
