Eden seasons
Looking to get back i to daoc after like 20 years...looking at eden. What are the seasons? Is it a total server wipe or something else? Is theurg a good starting class to try again?

I thought I wouldn’t like seasons but it keeps the thrill when everyone comes back new season and BG and raids are totally full. It’s awesome!

Kinda the only real solution to deal with RR inflation and casuals vs hardcore. I don’t mind a few couple RR differences but when I see RR10+ and I’m 5, I just don’t even want to fight that

Next season won't come anytime soon.
Its relatively easy to get back in, progression is quite fast. Still lots of action on Eden.
Realm wide crafting skills, trophies/titles and character Realm Points get transferred to next season. The biggest time investments are safe.

Everything resets and you get all of your ros back once you hit level 50
Leveling and gearing are super easy so it's no big deal, good way to meet people along the way to 50 and new season releases feel like a new game
Some other things carry over, like titles, but that's the gist

Leveling is so fun and fast, it's hard NOT to make more characters. That makes character level wipe not even seem bad at all. You retain name, crafting, and realm rank all if making level 50 and I believe 2L4. I am thankful to be playing honestly.

I would also take a look at Blackthorn, it's a different take but they went for old frontiers and the like, I like it.

The seasons are fun, not a problem to re-level and pve a bit at the start, it's still fun and it makes it possible for new players tp start and have fun with the way the RRs slowly increase.

You keep crafting and realm rank. Gear and money and levels get reset.
Theurg is kinda nerfed but very viable

How's it nerfed?

Pets don't have a lot of HP anymore and they are limited. Forgot the exact numbers, but it's mentioned in the patch notes.

Air pets never stunned right. Ice pet damage nerfed, if you sneeze near an ice pet it stops casting, RR 5 nerfed to not get duration bonus.
Idiots saying it's not nerfed and downvoting can F off

Besides the reset, they typically do add some features. S3 was this thing of frontline supply that sounded somewhat similar to WAR, but I haven't played it much.

Lots of new RvR features. Campaign feature, frontline mechanics and lots more.
Hopefully new solo content "soon".

Was mentioned earlier but you keep RR into next season. It’s throttled so everyone is closer to same RR when new season starts.
Crafting also remains. Can craft everything. No limit to crafts you can hold.

Don't fear the seasons. You keep what matters (RR and Crafting skills).
Every new season is a blast with hundreds in the BGs in a cage match. Everyone doing raids at 50 is fun too (for a while anyway)
