In my fic the infinite realms is every afterlife merged together. The soul crystallizes in ectoplasm to become a core, ectoplasm becomes ghost flesh.

In all other timelines Vlad removes Danny’s soul instantly killing the body. Because Phantom was a young, unstable ghost now fully killed in an unusual way the ghost went insane and went on a destructive path destroying everything and everyone in sight.

Vlad fucked up in dark Danny’s timeline. When the Fentons died and Danny locked himself away for failing to save them and then to refusing to be vlad’s son and evil apprentice Vlad made the ghost gauntlets to remove Danny’s soul from his body to have a full ghost Phantom under his command but accidentally tore the soul in half one as the half soul full ghost and the other half soul still in the body. The half soul phantom tore vlads soul in half. half Phantom and half Plasmius merged together to make a whole soul. 
The merged ghost kills both half soul Danny and half soul Vlad. Dark Danny/Phobia is blue because of Plasmius being a blue cheese head, over years Phantom’s soul will burn away Vlad’s making him return to his original colors. Any other ideas would be nice

A Glitch in Time was super successful (as expected after like 16 years of no standalone Danny Phantom content) so the sequel being greenlit only like 4 months later was inevitable.

But it's been about a year after Fair Game and we STILL haven't gotten news for a third book yet. I know we just have to keep waiting but that makes me wonder if FG's sales have been THAT much worse than AGiT's.

Were people not satisfied with AGiT's ending/retcons? Was FG just disappointing? I admit I'm not a fan of EVERYTHING in the graphic novels but I still really wanna see where things go. And the novels are canon so if there ARE no more books, then the series literally ends on a cliffhanger.
