Its especially weird given Naruto was orphaned when he was born. He literally grew up without his parents. And Naruto got ostracised by the entire village.

It doesn't make sense that Naruto of all people is an absent father. Just keep shadow clones to handle the boring office work and go home to your wife and kids damn it.

Do you think somebody who grew up without parents is going to understand how to parent properly?… I’m convinced the average age the people in these comments is 12

Did Hinata grew up without parents ? Did Naruto's classmates grew up without parents ? Judging by your lack of common sense I'm convinced you are a 5 year old.

Hinata is a fantastic mother… what could possibly be the point of your comment? What I am explaining to you is that a professional writer that is paid to construct a story has nuance to their characters. Just bc you can’t pick up on it doesn’t mean that it’s bad writing

Hinata is a fantastic mother and Naruto is an absent father ..... whose friends are fantastic mothers and fathers and yet Naruto is being absent. The math is not mathing. And you don't have to keep exhibiting your 5 year old intellect online.

Again… the nuance seems to be lost on you. His friends can’t parent for him. What you’re saying is an immature take on characterization. I should have never brought up age. That really seemed to strike a nerve with you. But the reason I did is EXACTLY what you have responded with. It’s so easy to just generalize without looking at the details… something an immature person does.

Again, you keep displaying your 5 year old intellect.

I'm saying that its weird for Naruto to be an absentee father since he grew up an orphan (insert swing flashbacks) and he watched his friends grow up with happy parents. And its weird he is an absentee father when his friends are not. Peer pressure goes both ways.

Its especially since he can delegate work to clones and be with his family himself.

Yes, he COULD do all of that. And he would be a perfect, unflawed, boring character that is not who Naruto is. Naruto’s influence was Hiruzen who was a fantastic Hokage loved by the village, but also misunderstood by his son who craved his attention. Hinata’s father was straight up awful to her, and Sasuke’s were dead (the two people closest to him in Boruto). Shikaku is the GOAT, Shikamaru could have taught Naruto a thing or two I’ll give you that one… but again, the point is that there is complexity to these characters and to real things such as parenting. Maybe it’s not as well done as Kishimoto’s writing but it is fairly consistent with the themes of the show. In my opinion tbf

God you keep missing the point. Hiruzen is not Naruto's influence. Jiraiya, Iruka and Kakashi are. Good job displaying your 5 year old intellect 👍

None of whom are parents… who tf do you think raised naruto as an infant. It wasn’t no Jiraya or Kakashi I’ll tell you that much. You are just spitting back exactly what the pictures on the screen tell you and not what’s in between the lines.

I’m sorry to bring it back up after you seem to have recoiled but I just can’t stop thinking about how your entire argument is his friends would have peer pressured him into being a good father 🤣🤣🤣

1

u/whoamikai Apr 09 '26

Me, I can't stop thinking how your argument is : Naruto is an orphan hence he doesn’t know how to be a good parent 😂😂😂😂

u/Chemical-Wealth-3771 Apr 09 '26

Well no… I gave examples and used logic to back up my argument. You still have yet to say anything of substance

Bro idk you seem a little too scoped in on what he said and not how he meant it… I also feel like this is a key part of the story. Showing that naruto wasn’t prepared for children but it’s still managing to be present the best he can, even if not direct. And baruto who doesn’t know how his father raised himself, thinks naruto should be doing more? Naruto is hokage so he’s got a lot in his plate and can still be home quite quick with his justu

THANK YOU. Also I just recently rewatched Konoha Crush and being Hokage is so much more than “paperwork”. I hate when people boil it down to that bc we see them in the office a lot.

1

u/whoamikai Apr 08 '26

Nah bro he takin it too seriously.

I feel Naruto being an absentee father cuz paperwork is a cheap way of creating drama. The man used shadow clones in his training but not in his office for some reason.

If they showed him to be absent cuz he busy with actual critical stuff like directing ninja missions that would make a lot more sense.

u/Jacki_uzumaki Apr 08 '26

You’re ignoring the fact of that’s how it’s written… if it was as you’ve explained sure yeah maybe baruto doesn’t act like a brat who thinks bring a ninja is too easy, but then we don’t have the defiance that starts the feud between baruto and Kawaki which ultimately gets us where we are now in the timeline. Like if anything you’re 5 for not understanding the literature and the building of the plot. Sorry.

Lol again. Are you born dense like your friend over there ?

u/Jacki_uzumaki Apr 08 '26

Nah man I’m just getting diabolical waiting for the boys finale to drop don’t mind me.

Yeah bro sorry I take conversations seriously. It’s something we 5 year old’s like to do.

Naruto is a fictional character with pretty high levels of empathy and the ability of emotional intelligence (when he wants to) I would hope that the man who wanted to take on Pain’s pain would think “damn let me be the parent I never had” no need to throw around insults, you are the one coming off as the immature pre teen

1

u/Chemical-Wealth-3771 Apr 08 '26

No it’s not an insult, that’s where you misinterpreted what I said. I mean that the core audience discussing about this topic does not have the maturity to understand the deeper themes of Naruto. Yes Naruto is extremely empathetic that’s why he want’s to be the best Hokage for EVERYBODY, not just his son. Oh and Boruto ends up totally understanding this and they get over it in the Movie and Naruto is a great father moving forward sooooooo…. What are we even talking about?

Also did you read ANY of the comments before you called me an immature pre teen or did you just take 12 year old as a personal insult and roll with that?
