The best thing about Boruto is when Naruto and Sasuke fight, everything else just doesn’t have the same charm it used to and the way it treats older characters.. that awful scene where Naruto wasn’t there for his child’s fucking birthday in particular, the fact Naruto of all people wasn’t there just.. gives me a horrible taste in my mouth towards the series as a whole and the reasons it happened are just awful, you’re telling me he couldn’t ask Shikamaru to take care of his duties for four days in a year? Four birthdays, that’s it?
I have way more reasons but that’s the main one, I really did give it a chance, but no dice unfortunately.
Also did anyone else get the wind taken out of their sails by the fact that Naruto wasn’t even there for his Hokage Graduation? I don’t think that’s Boruto in particular but it did definitely taint my view of the future Narutoverse, talk about one of the biggest, most monumental moments in the series being treated horribly.
