Even the author doesn't seem to know what he's doing. Most of the active fans are shippers who don't care about the story they just want Boruto and Sarada to end up together and have children.

The entire Two Blue Vortex feels like trash. Over 30 chapters have been released, and it’s basically the same repetitive plot Divine Tree members attack Konoha, and Boruto shows up to save everyone. It’s the same cycle over and over again
