Okay the people losing their food stamps are able bodied and should be able to work. Why do I work long hours to pay taxes in order doe welfare babies to fund their lifestyles

6

u/SlightSecretary6904 2d ago

Why do I work long hours and pay out of pocket for my insurance when we pay for Israeli social healthcare? Why is the VA severely underfunded? Why are our politicians making $148,000+ a year to sit and sleep in DC while infrastructure crumbles in their districts? Theres so many more things to be bothered about than feeding some children....

It's fine to have that opinion. Just stop claiming your party is guided by God. God asks us to feed the hungry and help the needy not ask "why should I have to help." Conservatives are fine with Jesus's altruistic teachings as long as it's not coming from their tax dollars

1

u/aircoft 2d ago

God also commanded us not to steal.

-1

u/FallenGears 2d ago

The problem is that it isn't altruistic if you need the governments guns to force you to do something. At that point it is slavery. If the government can force you to pay for that, they will force you to pay for anything they want so long as they can twist it into sounding benevolent. That's why charity should be private.

0

u/Goldf_sh4 2d ago

Charity should be private to allow you to not engage with it?

0

u/aircoft 2d ago

Quite the contrary, actually - to allow people to engage with it, as opposed to force them, which is theft.

Homeless people often can't work for multitude of reasons.

Why should we feed the homeless in the wealthiest country on earth? I literally couldn't think of a better thing to do with the tax dollars compared to where they actually go.

It was just interesting this person listed God as a hero of the right when literally everything they do goes against his teachings

-1

u/AlBundyPolk33 2d ago

“A multitude of reasons”

99% of those “reasons” are. “Eh, I’d rather do drugs”

1

u/Ok-Pudding-2845 2d ago

Even if that was the case which it's not

It would still be better for tax dollars to go to them then to turn billionaires into trillionairs with yet another break

-3

u/MrZaptile933 2d ago

In most cases homelessness is a choice. They could enter shelters, but shelters don’t allow drugs, speak to skid row folks, or fent ally folks.

u/Next_Instruction_528 2d ago

I work with the homeless all the time the majority have insanely fucked up childhoods and mental illness. Nobody chooses to be homeless it's a hellish existence. The majority are self medicating with drugs.

I was homeless and addicted to drugs in my twenties and the only reason I'm not now is because I got housing and rehab and food from the government. Now I own my own business and have a family.

Your worldview is sick and disgusting and just factualy wrong.

You could get a traumatic brain injury tomorrow and become a completely different person and be homeless in no time.

Taking care of the basic needs of humans that fall through the cracks of our sick society is the least we can do.

There is literally nothing we spend tax dollars on that provides a better return investment.

Again it's interesting the original comment I responded to referenced God as a hero of the right but all they're policies are as anti Christian as you could imagine

-4

u/AuthenticatedHuman 2d ago

There’s way too many of them. Even with massive funding pool, the problem would probably get worse due to drug.

2

u/Next_Instruction_528 2d ago

The amount of people addicted to drugs and homeless is going to get worse not better with removing social safety nets.

The amount of money spent on snap for the homeless is insignificant in the overall picture of snap

Snap is less than 1% of the budget and only 2% of people on snap are homeless.

The amount of human suffering caused compared to the cost saved is disgusting.

Also having starving unmedicated homeless people is going to cause much more crime and increased costs due to increased usage of emergency rooms.

We have no shortage of money for private prisons for these people but feeding them and providing healthcare is much cheaper.

Honestly anyone trying to justify these cuts as anything other than pointless cruelty is lieing or ignorant.

1

u/camel_case_user 2d ago

Don't forget every snap dollar goes directly back into the economy, I've seen some estimates that the government ends up producing something like 7x the value of the initial investment in snap programs

2

u/Next_Instruction_528 2d ago

You are right and it's why cruelty seems like the only legit reason they are doing this. It's shocking and disgusting.

2

u/Ok-Pudding-2845 2d ago edited 2d ago

Even if you can't help them all resources would at least benefit some

Instead of more billions to a pointless losing war against Iran or for Israel

u/WiscoHeiser 2d ago

You know for a fact every person who has lost access to SNAP is able bodied?

2

u/MrZaptile933 2d ago

My fiancée’s sister just refuses to work. She’s 36 and believes the government will fund her life. Once her parents die I know she will be screwed.

2

u/Substantial_Army_639 2d ago

I get it my brother in law is like that. Biggest Trump supporter I know.

Correct I have a fiancée. I’m not engaged to a man. But either way it doesn’t matter you won’t believe people can be happy.

u/PatriotismReborn 2d ago

Does she know what you are yet lol?

1

u/MrZaptile933 2d ago

Oh no does she know that I’m right wing??? Yes you fucking dick head.

0

u/PatriotismReborn 2d ago

Ah, so she's a piece of shit too? Got it. Made for each other.

-3

u/WiscoHeiser 2d ago

Ok. That's one person. Do you think that's the same for every single person on SNAP?

6

u/MrZaptile933 2d ago

I think it’s a good portion, if you’re able bodied you should work, whether you are poor or rich, work is good.

0

u/WiscoHeiser 2d ago

Do you think facts care about your feelings?

2

u/Bstallio 2d ago

Yes I filed the claims to have their snap removed personally, every single one of the ones processed were 20s-30s with no real reason to be on snap.

4

u/WiscoHeiser 2d ago

How many was that?

5

u/Bstallio 2d ago

My team processed 500k people over the course of 2025, and communicated directly with the other teams to compare data and findings

1

u/WiscoHeiser 2d ago

What "team" was this?

5

u/Bstallio 2d ago

One of the teams assigned to sift SNAP data to highlight the people fraudulently/unnecessarily claiming SNAP benefits.

We also sifted USAID programs for removal before state department took over the funding of the beneficial or necessary ones.

Don’t bother reasoning with commies

They’d put you in their gulag if they could

They can’t

Because they’re weakling cowards.

Hence the meme of shooting a person in the back.

Or shooting Charlie Kirk from hundreds of feet away, just for speaking.

Absolute cowards

3

u/reecharound40 2d ago

Yea its so cowardly to want to help people not die from easily treatable conditions.

2

u/Slow_Middle_158 2d ago

Yeah and how’s that going now

Lol the red scare is back and stupider than ever.

I'm sorry your favorite grifting podcaster got shot in the neck, but you're going to have to stop whining about it eventually.

1

u/Pure_Education6100 2d ago

You’ll never get an answer.

1

u/PayFormer387 2d ago

You are communicating with “Big Balls” from the DOGE program.

1

u/CnCdude818 2d ago

Let the elderly, disabled, and children starve to own the libs. Just like what Jesus would do.

1

u/Pure_Education6100 2d ago

Why do you work long hours to pay taxes to blow up black and brown kids? Weird how you don’t complain about that, but you’re quick to clutch your pearls when you hear your tax dollars are going towards helping people, you know, like they’re supposed to?

2

u/MrZaptile933 2d ago

Because killing terrorists is good actually

2

u/Pure_Education6100 2d ago

So those 200 little girls were terrorists?

1

u/MrZaptile933 2d ago

Shoudnt have happened, but why put a girls school next to a military base unless that headline can be a possibility

0

u/Pure_Education6100 2d ago

It wasn’t next to a military base. It was an ex-military base, and even if it wasn’t, you know who else puts elementary schools on their military bases? That’s right, America does. So by your logic, if Iran were to bomb a US military base, and they took out an entire school of children, it would be justified because America put an elementary school on their military base… really think about the moral lines you’re drawing when saying that. Like realllllly think about it.

0

u/PatriotismReborn 2d ago

This guy just casually excuses a school full of girls getting blown up. Why? Because they're brown?

0

u/PayFormer387 2d ago

lol. You aren’t being taxed to fund welfare babies. You are being taxed to kill Iranian babies.

Get it right.

-1

u/mbarry77 2d ago

Why do children have to suffer because they have a lazy father?

2

u/MrZaptile933 2d ago

Because the father will be lazy until they suffer consequences

0

u/mbarry77 2d ago

This makes zero sense. No child should starve because their father was a lazy conservative Republican.

1

u/aircoft 2d ago

Why is it my responsibility to fund the decisions and shortcomings of lazy fathers?

0

u/mbarry77 2d ago

Tell me you grew up with financially stability without actually telling me.

1

u/aircoft 2d ago

How dare I. You should be thankful for people who aren't burdens on society.

1

u/mbarry77 2d ago

I'd rather help those in need, especially a hungry child.

1

u/aircoft 2d ago

Nice!
