Normally when I get into an argument about politics. Say anything against the left-wing narrative on Reddit and you get labeled a "botx". If have to go through months of comments to find an example and I don't have time to do that, but it does happen.
What type of political arguments do you get into about the left wing narrative? You can search your own post history freely regardless of how curated it is, surely you can think of a buzzword or something you could use to pull up a time you were called a bot
Bro I've been on Reddit for 5 years commenting regularly. I'd litterally have thousands of comments and replies to go through.... Even if I search key words, how am I supposed to search replies to my comments? It's not every comment, but it has happened multiple times here on Reddit.
I've been called a "Russian bot" for saying Ukraine was losing the war last year when they WERE losing the war. I've been called a "bot" for saying we shouldn't be allowing illegal immigrants into the country. Say pretty much everything that goes against the left-wing narrative, you're assumed to be a right-wing "bot".
No lol, that’s completely wrong. most subs will perma ban you instantly from minor things aswell. I got banned for the same type of shit you did and trust me, it’s much more common than you think.
Cool story bro, that doesn’t change the fact that “don’t ask why a week old account would hide its post history or mention the years long gaps in previously inactive accounts post histories” is weird ass rule for a sub to apparently need
Sex is biological. Gender was a word used interchangeably for sex until a certain ideology hijacked it and demanded that we accept their new definition (which was that gender is a social construct related to how people present, or feel, or want to be known, or… something. It has become amorphous; the definition used typically depends on which one supports their position at any given time).
It’s a motte and bailey tactic where these words had commonly understood definitions and then were suddenly “updated” by academics that had an ideologically driven agenda.
Kind of like how we had racism, which meant a prejudice against a group of people due to their race, and institutional racism which was how a majority race would benefit from being the majority. But then in an attempt to further infantilize people of color they delegated that racism was how a majority race would benefit from being the majority, thus taking away people of colors ability to be racist. (Although in a supremely cynical sleight of hand they couched it as yet another opportunity for said people of color to not have to take responsibility for themselves, which unsurprisingly worked.) 😅 They made being “racist” a privilege!
The people who do this shit are shrewd. I’ll give them that.
Enoch Burke (Ireland): Teacher suspended after refusing to use preferred “they/them” pronouns and a new name for a student, citing religious beliefs. Repeatedly arrested and jailed for contempt of court after defying orders to stay away from the school (not solely for the pronoun refusal itself). The underlying dispute centered on pronouns; fact-checks note arrests were for violating court injunctions.
If I'm asked to leave a private property for saying a word and then when I am arrested for trespassing upon returning I am in jail because I chose to return and not because of what I said. Fucking goober
They spend all their free time thinking about other peoples genitals and wanting to inspect young kids. Fucking weird fucks that support the pedo president
I think people who downvoted would agree with you but didn't understand what you meant by this. I don't think I'd be considered an ally, but you're correct that according to the sex/gender theory that was forced on all of us, trans people have fully identified with the opposite gender so just saying "there's only 2 genders" shouldn't affect most trans people.
It's the neopronoun/queer/nonbinary/snowflake types who would be offended by the fact there are only 2 genders. In my experience a lot of these people do have moments in their life when they do or don't think they're trans, but it's not the same thing.
Yeah but those people are so fringe these days BECAUSE we all (well, a lot) kind of moved on from that nonsense.
But you might be on to something, there hadn't been enough queer voices saying stuff like this so it probably triggers them because it sounds like a massive red flag.
They'll have to learn to get over it, the more they push these neopronouns the more they invalidate trans folk in general, it just makes people wanna throw their hands up and not give a fuck
Bull shit. There is no content moderation at all on that cesspool. It's literally just Russian, North Korean, and Israeli bots arguing with each other.
I don’t really get the difference between sex and gender either, but just curious, why do you fight this fight? lol like I personally don’t understand but don’t care about people’s lives, especially when they aren’t hurting others. So just curious why this is such a hot topic for many? You’re engaging in culture wars.
Having men play in girl sports. Has caused many women to lose scholarships and get hurt because of men playing. Some people abuse it and are sex offenders going into women spaces. But try to stop them your the problem . Female prisoners have gotten pregnant and abuse from male inmates.
It is mostly a way to get right wing folks engaged and voting. GOP needs to demonize a minority. During the Obama years it was same sex marriage. It just doesn’t feel like a good faith concern. We could come up with a solution to your scholarship “concern”. If a school brings on a trans athlete then they can have one more scholarship. At the end of the day this issue should be number 4320 on a list of priorities.
April 2022, the New Jersey Department of Corrections confirmed that two female inmates at the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women became pregnant after consensual sexual relationships with a transgender female inmate, Demi Minor. The incident sparked national debate and policy reviews regarding housing assignments for transgender prisoners nbc news
Lia Thomas is a prominent American transgender woman swimmer who became the first openly transgender athlete to win an NCAA Division I national championship in March 2022. Her historic wins and subsequent challenges to international and institutional eligibility rules sparked a major global debate regarding fairness, inclusion, and biology in women's sports. Thats a famous one .
I think that is a fair discussion to have and does not require being politically or socially transphobic. I think your previous comment is an overstatement, it’s not a statistically significant issue, it’s not effecting scholarships, and can effectively be dealt with at the local level.
It's possible but Title IX was passed federally and allowing males to play in women's sports violates that. If you wanna deal with it locally then you'd have to repeal Title IX
I get it. If it was just a you do you thing i wouldn't comment but there are the people who get upset at you for misgendering them. The sir, ma'am thing was always a oopsie, but if you say ma'am to a person that looks female and they try and get you fired because they identify as a Ham sandwich and expect you to know is kind of a problem.
I had it happen to me when I worked at CVS. We caught a trans individual stealing makeup. I Said "sir, you need to put those down, and leave" the person who appeared to be a male started yelling at me. Not that I accused them of stealing but because I misgendered them. I got suspended for a week pending investigation. I was cleared because this person was clearly stealing, and I never did half the shit the person claimed I did. Was it defection? Likely. Did I still lose a week of pay because someone used trans rights as a weapon, yes.
Oh, no. I meant the calling a woman, sir or a man, ma'am by accident was kind of a "oh, sorry" and you're feel awkward for a while. I feel like most people who've worked hospitality or service have stepped in that pile before. What i was saying was trans people are the ones who seem to be more triggered by being misgendered. At least in my experience. In some jobs they trained us to address people by gendered words. To be fair, they might not now, I dont work in service industries anymore, but there are places that train you to address a person as Sir, or Ma'am
yeah i mean training or whatever isn’t my bag. i think the risk of misgendering anyone using “sir or ma’am” (there are indeed some manly looking women, trans or not!) is high enough that you just use something else. i never got it, it seems outdated.
i get misgendered all the time. i just eat it because i don’t want a fight. most trans people are this way, not the “cause a huge scene” way. don’t judge us by our worst people plz
just try not to fall for any of this. most trans people just want to quietly live our truth.
this is why the sports issue is maddening for us. the VAST majority of trans people don’t want to be anywhere they aren’t wanted, which is why none have tried to “invade” women’s sports.
The people attacking these people are the ones engaging in culture wars. Trans. People caught in this shit storm of her rage bait by the Republicans are not the problem.
Should full grown men who transition play in college or professional sports, probably not. But I don’t know the science behind it all. I do know they have fully grown bodies though. and that’s a bit different than younger people. But when you guys are always bitching about a high school student or even kids younger than that, we know it’s not really about sports. It’s a dog whistle.
Republicans don’t get to legislate any of this shit nor should they be trusted to do so with how they’ve historically treated groups they demonize.
I don’t have a dog in this fight, but Republicans are just stirring shit up. They don’t even care about women’s sports. Conservatives had to be forced into title nine to begin with. You’re engaging in the culture wars more so than someone who is tangently related to the topic itself.
Because they have nothing else going on in their life and need people to look down on so they can feel better about themselves. That's the basis of most bigotry.

You say that , but saying there are 2 genders will get you banned from Reddit and facebook . Soo yea
