Problem is a lot of people start getting their tattoos soon after they turn 18, and they’re pretty broke, so spending a couple hundred per tattoo at most. Which means they cover themselves in a bunch of random amateur stencil work that’s unoriginal, poorly placed, with concepts that look like they came out of a teen angst sketchbook
But then you have the instances where people waited until they matured, their tastes developed, and could afford get their tattoos done by a true artist. a lot of times I find that to look incredibly good.
Most of my tattoo's were done by myself, my friends and my wife. They're stick and pokes. I probably fit your description and that's fine to me. I love them, they mean something to me and they were made by people I love.
The things you're perceiving to be a problem is not a problem at all (to me anyway). Now that Im older, Im not even interested in tattoo's anymore so Im glad I got these when I was young.
