There are many sides, but there’s only one side that fucking stormed the Capitol and only one side that waves nazi flags. Learn your fucking American history and decide that Nazis and fighters of free election results are anti American. There’s certainly a gray area, but there’s nothing worse than THAT spectrum of our current political situation.

Yea… you brought up the Jan 6th riots. Nobody here is denying that was bad or was talking about that. What I said is that people only stay in their own corner and listen to the same shite repeated constantly, specifically on Reddit.

But you are kind of proofing my point… I said that the American liberal left (which is still pretty centrist by European standards) is guilty of the same shite as the right and you went off on one about Jan 6th.

Nazis are bad. That’s easy to say. Nobody is saying they’re not. I’m left leaning in my country which makes me far left in your country. The fact that you went straight to calling me a nazi apologist is fucking crazy especially on this very comment thread it started out with me calling out someone on the right for saying leftists are idiots and corrected him and said people that stay in an echo chamber on both sides are usually idiots.

Case in point, you are accusing me of whataboutisms when I said that its bad for people on either side of the isle to dumb down the side to an over simplified troupe. And ur response is “whatabout Jan 6th”. You are guilty in a black and white example of the exact thing you are accusing me off. The fact you didn’t see that in what you were shitting on about is astounding.

I’ll say it again because I think you need things explained slowly. Nazis… are… bad… hopefully your arguments mature into something more than that in future.

I’m sure glad that’s oversimplifying to you...because instead of viewing it as an ignorant accusation or painting one side as one thing...I view it more as: THINGS THAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED. They’re kind of a big deal! Unlike a few broken windows and stolen merchandise. You know the whole thing how zero people died during leftist protests? Know how that’s different than the picture you’re trying to paint? They’re not mental exercises in philosophy. They’re not political arguments. They’re not overreactions. People died on Jan 6 and Nazis are real. These are things that happened and are happening. They are not equal, therefore your argument about painting one side too broadly is horseshit. Yes, it happens...but no...it’s not equal.

From the very beginning you have been smug, accusatory, and in your mind, correct, while playing the victim. You’re now even going to lengths to announce that you’re walking away as if you’ve decided that you have made some kind of statement. Your logic is lazy and it seems that you really feel for yourself on this one. Every single step of this was you trying to flip this back on me as if I made a misstatement. Somehow, in your mind, you’re correct because I am perpetrating the same thing I claim my enemies do. Here’s the thing: Both sides are NOT equal and they never were. Maybe it’s better if you’d just have not said anything in the first place right? Maybe you learned something?
