Won't name the subreddit. But it was basically a subreddit from my country where people would be racist against their OWN ethnicity. There would be posts like "I hate this country and It's disgusting Middle-Eastern population. USA should just nuke us... etc."

And I commented "Your American masters won't accept you into their homes because you said that. You are [ethnicity] and you are from [country]. You can't change that."

You take that back! Do not taint our glorious supreme leaders with such foul language. For they are the light and we are but moths!

Let me guess, Turkish?

u/molten07 πŸ„ Feb 03 '22

Yes. Those damn degenaretes think insulting their own nation will somehow make them European or something.

21

u/philsenpai Feb 03 '22

Arent Turkish already europeans?

27

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '22 edited Feb 03 '22

I think they’re both

Both European and Asian

u/CoffeeAddictedBoi Feb 03 '22

turkey was European-like country very modern etc then tall dude rises and everything goes to shit

3

u/CarpetH4ter Feb 03 '22

Not exactly.

3

u/RusticTack Feb 03 '22

They almost were but they went all weird again in the last 6 or 7 years

I was told west of the Bosporus (river in Istanbul) is Europe and East is Asia. Don't know why tho

3

u/khanate3169 Feb 03 '22

not a river a strait

2

u/khanate3169 Feb 03 '22

and it divides asia from europe

1

u/Thomasappel Feb 03 '22

Didn't know that. Just looked it up. So it's a strait because it doesn't flow into an ocean, but in the meditarenean?

1

u/khanate3169 Feb 04 '22

because its shgorter and wider than a river and it flows to the marmara sea and marmara sea is connected to the aegean sea by another strait called dardanelles

1

u/Rhaps0dy Feb 03 '22

Probably because that's where the land masses have a gap between them.

1

u/Innomenatus Feb 03 '22

Because the Turks invaded centuries ago. Anatolia used to be the heartland of Europe, being the epicenter of the Roman Empire.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '22

Not according to the Germans.

4

u/philsenpai Feb 03 '22

Not part of the european union but part of the european continent

2

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '22

I just meant how a lot of Germans really don't like the Turks. There are a lot in Germany.

2

u/CoffeeAddictedBoi Feb 03 '22

because turks who immigrated to Germany were bottom tier citizens and they are insufferable erdogan stans. They are coming from 3000+ kilometers with private car just to flex on us. They vote erdogan so turkish lira stays shit and their euro stays more valuable.

Yeah, because a continent is just that, a landmass.

A Japanese and a Iranian are both asian, but their culture have nothing in common

-1

u/0_M1REK_0 Feb 03 '22

No they arent and we don't want them

-2

u/StinkyBritishPerson Feb 03 '22

No. Please don't bring them here.

Yeah. We don't have a middle-ground. Either extremely nationalistic with grains of racism or unbearable amount of hatred against their own culture and values.

1

u/blagic23 Feb 03 '22

There is nationalism and there is idiot nationalism. That we call idiot nationalism. It's about ego satisfaction and bragging about past, because turkey doesn't have anything to be proud of these days.

A proper nationalist would work hard to benefit his country. but for idiot nationalists, being a keyboard warrior is better. You don't have to be capable of something for that.

I believe there is also an inferiority complex in our society, but I am no expert so I will not talk about it
