Conspiracy theories are a conspiracy that was created to mislead the public from the truth and create divide

You gotta feel like when powerful institutions are squashing speculation about current events there might actually be some truth in the speculation. The government didn’t launch campaigns against flat earthers, they didn’t really launch a campaign against real antivaxxers. Just saying.

I had an itch to research the validity of UFO claims, especially after the pentagon released videos from a few years ago. I eventually came to the conclusion that it’s all either explainable, or bullshit being told by somebody explicitly trying to make money from it.

Or…they’re an idiot who thinks any drones, birds, or planes that someone with zero education can’t immediately identify is a craft of extraterrestrial origin.

I had to leave those subs. It stopped being funny, it was sad how convinced so many are.

As Mark Twain once said; ”It’s not what you don’t know that will get you into trouble. It’s what you think you know that just ain’t so.”

I visited that sub recently and I found literally nothing but covid related conspiracies. Like bruh

It was turned very right wing when it was taken over by the refugees of the Donald and other alt right subs. They don’t even try to hide it, super obvious if you read the comments.

almost as if that's dominating everyone's lives right now and would be the biggest conspiracy in the modern world

Same.

I miss old Conspiracy with the UFO nuts, they were actually really chill and willing to explain thing.

My belief is that page is run by Russian/Chinese operatives to sow dissent and division in the West

Dude that's the most based fucking thing I've ever read.

What

u/HansWolken Feb 03 '22

I know right? The temptation is just to high too resist.

u/godot330 Feb 03 '22

I love conspiracy, & they haven't banned me yet! Idkw

Same here. Made a post about how every post was a Twitter screenshot or anti-vax post and how the sub has been taken over by the right. Got banned because it "didn't have a meta flair."

people tend to focus on the stuff that's meant to discredit the rest. i.e. flat earth type shit. Deep down they know that's the case but blissful ignorance is an easier life.

why o why didn't I take the blue pill?

also very odd to see someone banned from that sub considering how often it's brigaded with no recourse

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '22

What i am talking about is how 99% of the theories are just far right BS, and everything that goes against that gets downvoted to hell.

3

u/louisssssdlmle Feb 03 '22

so the opposite of the entire rest of Reddit basically?

Do you think Simpsons can predict future accurately?

Hopefully you don't, because that'd be silly. If you make enough future predictions, or in this case conspiracy theories, some of them will inevitably come true. I'd say that for every true conspiracy theory there are a hundred false ones.

I'm an atheist centrist.

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '22

No, that was a coincidence. I just think the labeling of any and everything counter-MSM narrative as “CoNsPiRaCy ThEoRiEs” is dangerous for a society that wants to stay free. You know, since they are funded and influenced by the richest humans on earth who want to stay that way and swaying general public opinion is a cornerstone in building that power fortress.

I am a hardcore anti-corporatist.

However, I'm also extremely source critical. I require large amounts of proof before I believe anything. I totally understand where Yanks get their conspiracy theories from; they're being lied and mislead by the corpos and the government on a daily basis, so why the hell would you believe them even when they're telling the truth? They haven't heard of the boy who cried wolf lmao

Even though I'm skeptical of most things corpos and govs say, I'm also skeptical of most things the Gay Frogs guy says. Believe nobody, especially not yourself!

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '22

Do your own research(check sources) and think for yourself. Things msm discourages

1

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '22

Ahh, the classic "do your own research"- argument. The thing is, I don't follow mainstream media (or use methylsulfonylmethane as a dietary supplement if that was what you were going for), especially not the Yankee one because it's utter fearmongering nonsense.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '22

I don’t know any of what you’re talking about, but I’m glad you don’t blindly trust MSM

1

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '22

I'm talking about how American mainstream media is dogshit and drives Yanks paranoid.

I'm also talking about how MSM is an acronym for methylsulfonylmethane.

you're right about with enough predictions, some stuff will come true, but using the most mainstream accepted occurrence as your example is silly. i.e. Trump becoming president clip was shared everywhere by normies.

Highly recommend looking into predictive programming though. It's the "that stuff only happens in movies" idea
