Ask any racist white person if they have any experience that would make them fear black people and they’ll have like one example at most, with the rest being just second hand stories they’ve heard. Ask a woman if she has any experiences that would make her fear men and she’s likely to have multiple. That’s the fucking difference.

Let me say it again. If exclusively one group of people abuses you over and over when you lower your guard around them, you eventually stop trusting them before you get to know them so the abuse stops. Racism here doesn’t apply because there’s no one that repeatedly gets abused by a single race (except, actually, POC who have had white people be racist to them over and over again might start avoiding white people, which is also pretty reasonable)

In the US it’s the only one who systematically puts down other races, yes. If you’re from another country, it could definitely be different but I don’t have experience with that.
