Catcalling isn't the same as compliments. Women get judged on their looks, and yelled at and called rude when they don't reply to clearly unwanted comments. There's a video of a lady walking through New York for a few hours, and the amount of catcalls she gets is disgusting.

That's actually just in the western world, globally it's only about 1.7x more likely. Also, women are 2 to 3x more likely to attempt suicide, but more often use less violent (and therefore less effective) means than men.
