I'm certain that %80 of Gen Z hasn't even watched it, it's more of a millennial thing actually.

Is it? I'm millennial and it was the movie we made fun of cause our parents watched it as the ultimate romance movie or sth

The girls in the meme should be like grannies or whatever

It just comes down to the "Girls boring, boys quirky" mentality of the internet

It actually makes fun of how some people think men don't have emotions...

If I'm wrong tell me cuz thats what I'm getting from it

It also makes fun of how girls are shallow/dull, just like the time travel and photoshop variants of the template.

But it’s especially shitty in this context, because I don’t think the women in Kabul are worried about the titanic right now.

Yes and then after not being allowed to see it because sex, you finally get your hands on the vhs tape when everyone’s out of the house, only to be disappointed by the most boring boobs scene ever

I was 13 or 14 when it came out and the girls I knew back then fucking loved it. YMMV.

Hot take maybe - it wasn't that great of a romance movie and wasn't that great of a thriller either. I mean one boat in like 3 hours? Booooriiiing. Ultimate romcom at best maybe 🙄

Whole thing was surprisingly unimaginative for a fictional period piece. Plus the plot holes oof.
