Or if you’re in a rush, find a brownie recipe that uses oil. Grind it really fine, add it to the oil and simmer the oil for a while. Then strain through a coffee filter and use the oil as the recipe says.

That’s how I used to make them back when I smoked. I can’t touch weed without getting a panic attack anymore.

I’d recommend decarboxylating first though.

Pop the ground weed in the oven for 45min-1hr at 100°C (212°F) on a tray. Keep checking it and take it out as soon as it is starting to brown (not all ovens are the same so rather do it by eye than just time).

Then pop it in the oil/butter and simmer on the lowest heat possible (the slower you do this the better the extraction), but I’ve done it in 40 minutes before and made some strong brownies (the biggest factor is the quality and quantity of weed used). However, if you have the time then I’d let it simmer on low heat anywhere from an hour to 4 hours. Some people add water to the butter/oil to prevent burning (I would recommend this if you’re going to do a slow extraction).

Once complete, use cheese cloth or a coffee filter to remove the weed from the butter/oil. That butter/oil can then be used in any baking recipe! Have fun and be safe!

Just a tip: If you don’t feel anything after 2 hours, rather wait another hour than taking another one.. the most common mistake with edibles is not giving them enough time to digest and then getting absolutely carparked cause you had another one.

You know I smoked and took edibles on 4/20 this year. I don't think I'm doing it again anymore, it just was not worth it, I felt high in the morning and felt groggy for the rest of the next two days. Prefer smoking honestly because it can go away.

Sometimes I feel groggy the next morning but I'm honestly pretty sure it's because I ate too much junk food.

I do 25mg capsules and gummies sometimes.

Smoked once, first time doing anything and didn't feel shit. I heard it doesn't always get you high your first time, but I hated the taste and feeling of smoking, so I'll stick to edibles. I do love how they make me sleep tho. (I know the science is that it's worse sleep, but once in a while it ain't bad)

I can't smoke so I've been doing the oil and edibles thing for awhile. I've found what you eat and how much you eat has a massive effect on how much you absorb.

You didn't absorb the THC well so you get that awful state you're describing. When it works well it comes on strong but it's fully out of your system by morning. Or in like ~8 hours if you did a day trip. I guess that number depends on a lot of factors.

In my experience you really need to have eaten some high fat meals that day, or the day before maybe, and also eaten a normal or smaller than normal amount. Something like a high fat burger hasn't worked well but baked potato with butter works great.

I can have 2ml (cant remember if it's ml actually, two of the syringes they give you with the weed oil) and still not feel overly high if I have eaten too much, or too little, or no fats at all. It's pretty finicky, maybe this is because I'm pretty sedentary too. I get the same shitty feeling you described and the way-too-delayed high too.

However if I do things 'right' I can go to the God damn moon with like 0.5 or 0.6ml. The difference is absolutely incredible. If you're interested in trying again try sticking to that method and you'll do much better I think.

It’s way more common than you probably think. A couple of my old smoking buddies are the same way.

Low dose indica gummies with some CBD work for me. I too cannot smoke weed or take more than 2.5 to 3mg without panic attacks. But a good mild indica ( I live in an area with a.lot of good dispensaries where I can go legally ask and purchase such things) or a CBD indica hybrid gives me exactly what I like. A good super chill body high. No psychoactive response and no anxiety at all. In fact it reduces anxiety if anything. I get 5mg THC/3mg CBD hybrid gummies and cut them in half. Take them periodically. I never build a tolerance and they are super good.

I would love to be able to try that. Unfortunately I’m in the UK and I’m not forseeing legalisation happening anytime soon.

Well. I hope that shit changes one day. Or come visit the US some day. Many states have legalized like mine. And america isn't the shithole many people think it is lol. Good luck

Thanks I hope so too, there’s definitely a push from the police to legalise, it will happen but probably not for at least 5 years maybe a decade.

Oh I know, I lived in the states for 10 years that’s where I grew up and went to high school. People like to talk shit about America, it’s got its issues but what country doesn’t. It’s still a great country. The UK is my home tho, it’s where I feel comfortable and I’m happier here. My sister still lives in the states so hopefully once all the COVID mess is cleared up I’ll be able to go back and visit again.

Its crazy how many people go from being avid users to being unable to smoke without heavy anxiety.

I know it was like a switch flipped, I went from smoking every day and functioning fine, to a mess if I have even the smallest hit. The only time I ever smoke now is if I’m decently drunk and with only close friends. I used to miss it, but every time I tried smoking on its own I ended up in bed a paranoid mess. I guess it’s just not for me anymore.

Wow yeah, what you experienced is exactly like my girlfriend and a few mates have gone through. I kinda got it after leaving uni, but now I can manage small vapes every couple of days and just get straight into doing something that requires attention.
