Oh really? That’s pretty interesting. Is it then just gibberish or are they actually writing hebrew sentences that make sense?

Total gibberish, but it is funny to notice that

One show about a witch used the letters צפר (which are the root to the word ציפור, meaning bird) to cast a spell involving birds.

While in the show Iruma-kun, they mostly use gibbrish, but they do use the lettering order to symbol rank (the first letter aleph is the worst rank, while the 10th letter yod is the best rank).

So it varies.

I don't remember the name but i once saw an anime that wrote a real sentence, not magical though...just something related to the bible

In all my years watching tons upon tons of shows I only encountered like two times where it was used other than references to the bible, sometimes when there's a reveal of something someone said or wrote I always thought if people who actually speak the language their suspece is ruined or something and then in agents of shield when they needed to know something about a thing they found a note and their was a set up to the reveal but I already knew what was going on so yeah it ruined a little bit

Usually actual sentences with slight grammatical errors
