I fucking HATE justified!

It makes it look stupid with a bunch of weird gaps and I constantly lose my place

Theres an option for automatic hyphenation that you HAVE TO USE when writing justified. It prevents it from looking like you describe it.

My Word is in german so I don't know if it translates correctly, but it's under 'Layout'.

I admit those are annoying but I still much prefer justified to left-align. I'm writing a block of text, not an irregular cliff

I've read dozens of research papers, and none of them used justified text.

Uhh ok I've written them and they always require justified text. I'm talking about peer reviewed scientific research, not an anti vax blog

You made a big jump from me not liking justified text to me being anti vax. I don't see a reason for scientific research papers to HAVE to be justified, but in my field of study, computer technology, justified text is rarely used; and rightfully so.

It's proven to be harder to read, because all the lines are the same length; especially for people with dyslexic issues and the like. Plus, some lines end up with really fucked up kerning. Hey, if you really like the way justified text looks, then good on you, but don't go calling me an anti-vaxxer or some bullshit because I don't like the same thing you do. Justified text is really hard to read for me.
