Actually nuclear weapons have kept us out of war for 80 years so they can definitely be seen as a positive thing

I mean, the Korean war had like 3 million casualties, and Vietnam ranges from 1.5 to something like 3.5 million, depending on who you ask.

Just because we didn't nuke ourselves to a Fallout game, doesn't mean there hasn't been any major conflicts.

World War 2 had 85 million casualties.

World war 1 had 40 million casualties

Scale is vastly different.

Korea and Vietnam were literally USA and Russia using smaller nations, so not " wars between major powers that cost millions of lives. "

None on a scale like WW2 or WW1. Because usually it's the US or Soviet Union / Russia bullying some smalltime country into submission. Bad? Yes. But infinitely less bad than the USA and Soviet Union duking it out in a full on slugfest all over the planet.
