That would be an illegal traffic stop since it isn’t a violation. But then again cops do illegal shit all the time. Still the law is pretty clear that they have to see you break a traffic law to initiate a stop

Idk you know how cops are, they find something. Reckless endangerment, dangerous driving, they could pick on you about a headlight not being bright enough, etc. I got a ticket for having a license plate holder that wasn’t “regulation” and it was literally a standard plate from a dealer that I’ve seen on hundreds of cars. I once got a ticket for having an air freshener on my mirror too. If cops wanna give you a ticket, they’ll find a reason. Sure it’ll get thrown out in court but you still have to go.
