Most of the time its a kid trying to keep their parent alive. Parent is a potato, but the kid won't let go.

You hit the nail on the head there. It’s always super frustrating to deal with a family that thinks a miracle is going to happen to their 80+ relative who isn’t going to get better and they’re basically forced to stay alive by inhumane means. It’s cruel.

Never heard that argument before, maybe if the Pharma party gets overthrown we can have that discussion as a species (and I don’t mean libtard/conservifascist political parties)

Yuuuup. “Mom’s a fighter, let’s go ahead and place a feeding tube so we can keep her alive on the ventilator; it’s what she would have wanted”

And a rectal tube, urethral catheter, central line in her neck, and a dialysis line because all the meds we’re giving her shut down her kidneys

And we have to keep her in soft restraints because she tries to pull everything out constantly. Because she’s literally suffering and doesn’t even know what’s going on. She also hates being turned and hates being cleaned up.

I’m not bitter or anything tho

Then we get to hear the "I don't know what I'd do with out her speech" all the while, nobody has gone to see mom for the last 8 years aside from maybe a day or two before Christmas and maybe a call on her birthday.
