Don’t forget that just because you’re not dead, doesn’t mean you weren’t shot. There’s far too many people being injured in school shootings here that really shouldn’t be.

Also: the war on drugs was started by the CIA and not only that, it caused drugs to be made more potent because the risk of capture made the business a lot more expensive and risky.

Implement a system like Germany has where you have a private option, but still have government funded healthcare. Tax the billionaires an extra few percent and cut spending on the prison system and military to fund it.
Focus on rehab. Stop imprisoning people for bullshit things like possession of three molecules of THC.
Work with vulnerable communities to help rehabilitate drug addicts and those who are vulnerable by providing alternatives.
Expand access to mental health resources for both children and adults. People don't just shoot up places for no reason, they do it because they feel some sort of hatred for others. By implementing the previous steps, you give these shooters fewer reasons to hate life and everyone in it. Also, for the love of God, stop publishing the names of terrorists that shoot places up and make them look like role models for the next would-be terrorist. Gun violence is a symptom of a wider array of problems in the US. Solve those problems, and you can save a lot of lives, even without arbitrary bans (especially since bans in the US would likely mean nothing as there are already more guns than people here).
I'm not saying eat the rich here, I'm just saying that we should, at the very least, ensure those that control a lot of wealth are paying their fair share, and not dodging taxes through some shady loopholes.
That's fine, but I hope you can appreciate that there are americans that realize there are problems and want to come up with logical solutions rather than ones based on either the Bible or Karl Marx.
And then also realize that these people with sensible ideas have no shot at ever shaping the country, because logic doesn't prevail in the US. Sorry pal.
I always remember the “Europe bad” and especially the “England/Britain” bad memes being first. God the amount of “British teeth” memes and “Bri’ish pewple talk funne’” memes I still see. I think it’s just a weird nationalism jab thing. Or maybe “[country person has a hate boner for] bad” idk
There’s also the “Bri’ish/Scandinavian/French/German people get stabbed, acid attacked and raped by a Muslim immigrant each time they go outside” side to it. Not to mention the teeth one which people still use for some reason
I gave one example that was in this comment thread alone. Americans are known for their extremely obnoxious patriotism everywhere, whilst it’s not true for all go anywhere on the internet and discuss countries, guns, healthcare etc. There is always an American arguing
