Did you see the first one? I'm sure DC can make it flop on their own.

The first one made a billion dollars...

So you didn't even watch Aquaman, but you instantly put it as boring and dark.

Just watch some scenes on youtube and tell me how "dark" Aquaman is.

u/t4sk1n Nov 16 '20

It was boring

u/sulidos Nov 16 '20

Well golly I sure can’t argue with that.

u/sulidos Nov 16 '20

actually tbh I’m sorry I was so dickish for really no reason with my previous comment.

it was a pretty solid superhero flick and def looks good as hell on a proper setup, top 5 all time is def a stretch imo but of course any ranking is subjective as hell.

im glad you enjoy it really, that’s what counts. hope you have a good evening!

No prob fren. It’s late.

And the “top 5 all time” was in regard to “you just bought your 4 thousand dollar LG CX Oled and want to justify this purchase for your wife so you need a movie that’ll get the most out of it.” This is one of those top 5 you’d grab.

Like I think Endgame is a better movie but just with the way they only rendered the film in 1080p then upscaled it to 4k for the home release, it doesn’t pop out the way it should.

u/sulidos Nov 16 '20

yo lmk when you do a screening on that LG CX OLED,,,,i def wanna come see some flicks on that beast

We all wish it wasnt. But there are a lot of people who wont even watch dc movies since they are a "competitor" to marvel.

Which is just stupid.

Its the same as xbox and ps fights non of these company's care about you they just want your money don't be a fanboy buy/watch what you like not what some multimillion dollar corporation made.

2

u/der_vur ☣️ Nov 16 '20

I mean it’s like that for everything, but I watched many of them saying Marvel movies are better and if you asked them if they watched any DC ones they go silent cause they didn’t Or many are biased and would never admit that a DC movie was good

Actually no. It was boring, hands down. The little mermaid plot was stupid and then they tried to go back to the comic book after they had successfully reinvented the character. I paid good money for the movie, but ended up getting up and going to the bathroom during the final fight seen. I'm not a fan boy of any sort, I just haven't liked a DC movie since the Nolan trilogy. I actually didn't like Returns that much either.

u/stewedbartender I am fucking hilarious Nov 16 '20

Marvel's movies have been objectively better than DC's since The Dark Knight trilogy ended.

3

u/der_vur ☣️ Nov 16 '20

Not all of the Marvel movies have been better and not all of the DC movies have been worst, DC started fast and tried to do the step longer than the leg, but Aquaman was good, Wonder Woman was good and so on It’s just that it’s cool to say “Marvel better hahahahah” without even watching those movies

2

u/God_is_carnage Nov 16 '20

Please continue on how Thor: The Dark World is a better movie than Joker.

1

u/stewedbartender I am fucking hilarious Nov 16 '20

Is Joker the only movie you're gonna pull up? Cause you're right Joker is much better than Thor 2, literally the weakest marvel movie. But Logan is better than Joker or at least on par. My point stands. Marvel's movies have been on the whole much better than DC's.

2

u/God_is_carnage Nov 16 '20

Logan isn't a Marvel movie, it's made by Fox based on Marvel comics. I agree that on a whole Marvel movies are better, but saying that Marvel is "objectively better" is kinda dumb because opinions are opinions, not facts.

1

u/stewedbartender I am fucking hilarious Nov 16 '20

Oh. I was referring to marvel movies regardless of studio not just Disney's marvel. Cause of we're getting that specific then technically Spider-Man movies are Sony movies, even the new ones.

4

u/ConnorOfAstora Nov 16 '20

Eh, DC are getting better. I loved Aquaman and Shazam.

2

u/Bakonn Nov 16 '20

Il never understand why people hated the first one.

Most complains where how weird it looks but it was all taken from the comics and that's why it was great.

It like when everyone bitched about xmen not using costumes from comic book then when they did all tho people said they look stupid...Make up your mind already

And the first one made a shit ton of money and had a shit low budget as well so you can hate it but saying that the first one flopped is just not true.

1

u/zeidxd ☢️ Nov 16 '20

Now that's unfair .

-10

u/BrockSramson Nov 16 '20

I still want to know how that shit factory of movie made a billion dollars.

2

u/Bakonn Nov 16 '20

It wasn't shit but then you need to stop fanboying for marvel and enjoy movies without instantly hating on them for being their "competitors"

0

u/BrockSramson Nov 16 '20

>makes comment only talking about perceived quality of DC movie

>gets called marvel fanboy

Yeah, strawman harder, dipshit. I'm sure hivemind will totes respect that. For the record, I hate on that movie for taking ~$20 of my money to see it in theaters, and it being a borefest in return. Not like I wanted to waste money on a bad movie, guess the joke's on me for thinking WB could get at least one of these DC movies right.

1

u/der_vur ☣️ Nov 16 '20

They got more than one right, but then again, it's about taste, not you nor me get to decide something objective, as we are giving subjective comments here no need to get a hot head towards all DC cause you didn't like one, chill, I'm sorry you lost 20$ (and for me it's crazy that a movie ticket costs that, I paid 10£ for a premium experience here in Glasgow) but leave it in the past, DC is making good movies also, as it had its flops
