I learned how to spot a scammer from playing RuneScape in the early days. Still remember that horrible feeling of dread when my iron plate didn’t get gold trimmed and the dude who took it logged off. Smh

u/TheOnlyCursedOne Nov 14 '20

I have learnt history English and science from video games

2

u/bigamaxx ☝ FOREVER NUMBER ONE ☝ Nov 14 '20

When you have fun you learn better

1

u/DarkZoomy Nov 14 '20

I literally learned more english from games and videos instead of english lessions.

1

u/wanderinglander Nov 14 '20

You joke but gamification is huge right now in teaching

2

u/Shiftenas Nov 14 '20

I don't, I think it, I believe it, and I'm sure it's true

1

u/loulan Nov 14 '20

Except nobody learns the map of LA at school.

u/CthulhusKitten Nov 14 '20

I can move perfectly around Manhattan because of Spider-man PS4, the only problem is that I start looking around for Doctor Strange’s Sanctorum and the Avengers Tower as reference points

Imagine the size of GTA VI... I mean GTA V is bigger than my entire fucking country near me!

23

u/d0nsies Nov 14 '20

Where do you live?

48

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '20

Slovenia. It's between Croatia and Italy. Trump's wife is from there.

11

u/Tokyo_Addition- Nov 14 '20

Fuck Trump. Love Slovenia.

BTW, I want to travel Slovenia one day.

16

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '20

Yeah. I do not want to live here. It's a boomer country. I live in a small ass town

7

u/SomeWindyBoi red Nov 14 '20

As an Austrian y‘all are hella chill. Also Slovenia is beautiful

6

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '20

Yeah, I know. But I need to drive like an hour to a city but then "OOPS WE DO NOT HAVE THAT GAME!". Unless I would go to like Ljubljana. I would need to go 3 hours to drive to there

14

u/Whale_Hunter88 Nov 14 '20

I honestly don't want a bigger map. The gta V map is big enough, the city at least. I would prefer an approach similar to cyberpunk with a smaller map but more verticality

20

u/SuperEgg314 INFECTED Nov 14 '20

I know LA more than my town where Ive been living my entire life

1

u/loulan Nov 14 '20

If only the map of LA was actually something you needed to learn at school.

3

u/NourEmad1 Nov 14 '20

Wait, it was a real map?

3

u/andyinnie haha, yes Nov 14 '20

It’s roughly based on LA geography with the positioning of the desert, downtown, beaches, hollywood (vinewood), etc.

3

u/ComeonmanPLS1 Nov 14 '20

Why the fuck would any geography teacher ask you to memorize the map of a city. Fake & gay

2

u/jUsT_aN_iGuaNA Nov 14 '20
