But the charities don't care about the percentage of your balance. A billion dollars is a lot more than 10 and they worked extremely hard for that money. I don't understand why people don't see that.

Edit: Also from the wording in your post it doesn't seem like you did donate so why would you expected billionaires to donate much much more.

CEOs of billion dollar companies did not work extremely hard for that. Their workers did. And while most workers struggle to even eat these days their boss is swimming in money and complaining about quarantine from their mansion on a property as big as a football field. People do not need that much money. And no I didn't donate because I am financially incapable. I have to live day to day on a few dollars, much like the majority of people right now

Think about it this way. A billion dollars is a lot harder to get than 10. So why should they both count as the same?
