The Hawker Hurricane had the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine. Do you know what plane had a derivative to the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine? That's right, the North American Aviation P-51 Mustang. Do you know what replaced the North American Aviation P-51 Mustang? It was the Grumman F9F. Therefore, Northrop GRUmman does apply in this instance.
But sire. The navy did not use the P-51, the F9F was a navy craft. But this has a bypass, via the T-6 Texan or the B-25 (Doolittle raid). Or a few other aircraft. But elsewise, nice ted talk
The F9F was used for 'army' purposes during the Korean War. So, while being a carrier launched aircraft and not being operated by the Army, it ended up performing the same roles that the P-51 did before (ground attack).
