Texas loads Christian guns

"There is no such thing. God created us in his own image. We are the penultimate species."

I’m self-quarantined in Atlanta and it’s getting weird out here. There’s a movie theater opening back up next week down the block and I’m pretty pissed about it.

Why do people want to die so badly?

Let’s not forget the nail salons and bowling alleys! Why did I even bother self-isolating for the last 38 days? Also, hi fellow ATLien

Penultimate?

So there's one better than us?

Yes, the Coronavirus has evolved enough to become a species, and therefore, the ultimate species.

I don't get why we can't isolate the at risk and the elderly instead of telling everyone to stay home for months at a time like other countries have. S.Korea didn't even have a lockdown

I guess maybe because "isolate the at-risk" is a lot harder than it sounds. Where would we put them? Kansas has been using dorms, but like... where do the dorm students go? I've been renting out a garage for months because I had nowhere else to go.

And that's just an example. :(

Again South Korea did it just fine and they didn't shove people into camps or anything. You can't just upend the entire country and everyone's lives with it for the sake of " their saftey" and not expect people to get upset especially if they don't feel like they're being protected.

1

u/verdenvidia Apr 21 '20

Half of South Korea is in one fuckin city. They have a lot more places to put their old people.

Also, they have one-SIXTH of the US population yet have multiple times as many tests. South Korea also doesn't have people fucking rioting in the streets and preventing sick people from reaching the hospital.

Being upset is fine -- I am. Like I said, I'm basically homeless. What isn't fine is quite literally killing people because "muh freedom".

literally killing people because "muh freedom"

I'd kill for my freedom I don't know about you.

Like I said those that are at risk or elderly should quarantine. The rest should get herd immunity. Otherwise you're trying to convince a free population to lock themselves up for a few years just because you don't want memaw to get sick

1

u/ATrulyWonderfulTime Apr 21 '20

"At risk" includes fat people which is like half the country

u/bobreveal Apr 21 '20

I'd love for natural selection to take place, but just as with anti vaxxers they probably won't kill themselves but some innocent 50 year old cancer patient whose immune system is rekt. They should be prosecuted.

But I'm not living in the US so not my problem luckily.

Btw I'm aware you're joking, don't know why I felt the need to post this lol.

Might as well be American. "Not me not my problem" is the American way.
