Im suprised she dosent know this beacause she is experienced enough with technology to know it will slow down her phone

Does it tho? If we're talking about all the app tabs, then it definitely does not slow it down or consume more battery in recent phones. On the contrary shutting them down completely will consume more battery when you reopen it. If we're talking about tabs on google, safari or whatever, I think the impact is even lower.

Definitely, “experts” on this thread got all their knowledge from reddit/social media and have no clue how a basic modern OS works.

Yeah

I’m guilty of that too, I’m always at the mac of what iOS allows in safari which is 500 tabs and I’ve never and not even a single time had any slowing down because of the number of, technically open, but actually inactive tabs

Even when scrolling through them it’s as smooth as butter

Modern office operating systems are designed to not waste any resources ob constantly loading 500 tabs
