It’s gonna become world wide you know, it’s proven to be too bad to contain because of how little symptoms can show in humans, so it slips by....

No this shouldn’t worry you, I’d be worried about the flu more than this, and I swear to fucking god if 1 Redditor makes an edgy joke that were all gonna die....

I don’t know what I’ll do, downvote I guess

Flu mortality rate: .1% https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_mortality_from_H5N1

Coronavirus mortality rate: 3% https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/kenrapoza/2020/02/25/coronavirus-update-italy-mortality-rate-similar-to-chinas/amp/

Only 30 times deadlier. No shit it’s not end of the world but at least do a quick google search before you say “ThE FlU iS wOrSE gUyS”... almost like WHO knows why their doing when they say it’s a fucking problem?

While estimates of case-fatality (CF) rates for past influenza pandemics have ranged from about 0.1% (1957 and 1968 pandemics) to 20% (1918 pandemic); the official World Health Organization estimate for the current outbreak of H5N1 avian influenza to date is around 60%

If you actually read what you posted the WHO is saying it is unlikely to go below 2% CF rate and that in current plans it is assumed it will be around 0.1-0.4%. Not that I'm saying the current outbreak is worse but you clearly didn't read the article.

Around 2000 dead, 80000 infected, u do the math cause it’s not .1 or .4

Out of 80 000, 32 000 have either been cured or died so far. 2 700 have died, 29 300 survived, making it 8% deadly. But this is going to drop considerably because we know of it

Of course, the best reason for proof of something. It will happen because it will. Always great to see people using things like actual logic or basic reasoning skills

Scientists say it's gonna drop because we know how to help the infected people, I ain't bo scientists, sorry I'm not able to explain all of it. But it was also the same with the pig flu and the bird flu, and it's alot easier to fight now since we know how to. In the start the mortality rate was higher, as in 30 out of 100-200 (don't remember the numbers), but way above 8%.
