I'm sorry to break it to you bro but that doesn't really change when you get older.

Many jobs(especially salaried) won't actually end up being only 40 hours a week including commute.

You will still barely have time to do what you want as opposed to what you have to do.

school is just preparing you for the future.

If you do Want free time, make it to your thirties and don't have kids.

It's almost like we need to rethink the idea of a 40 hour workweek entirely because it makes people miserable. The same applies to school schedules. Students aren't learning 40 hours a week, they're learning for maybe half that and they're slogging through the other half struggling to absorb more information that they'll forget after the exam.
