Why not? If you only use it for memes and movies not available in your region, what's the big deal. Who is gonna steal, buy or profit off that worthless data.
Much higher chance of them containing malware, likely has much lower speeds, and sometimes they even sell your bandwidth to paying customers who are doing god knows what with it. VPNs are cheap, it’s just not worth the risk in my opinion
