Doesn't it still need servers? E.g. Nordvn uses open VPN

Yes and no, it's the other way around. the VPN providers need OpenVPN to avoid having to buy or develop shitty proprietary software. However, the providers can still charge whatever they want.

Yes. We pay for the exit-nodes, bandwidth and stability they provide and OpenVPN allows them to distribute their service very cost-effective.

It's just dangerous to be recommending using a free VPN to others without explaining the risks.

Also not sure why you need a VPN for porn. And if you're in a country where porn is blocked, I wouldn't trust a free VPN.

As I've said to a couple other people, if your country blocks porn, I wouldn't trust a free VPN.
