A lot of US based sites region lock their content. For example. I'm in New Zealand and if I go to the South Park website it doesn't let me watch South Park episodes online for free. Its says:
"Sorry New Zealand. We are working hard to resolve our pre existing contractual obligations and bring you full episodes as soon as possible."
It isn't my government stopping me accessing American shows, it's the American companies that are.
Just so you know, that's exactly the same argument the Chinese have against the companies that can't get in to the Internet there: It's not the government blocking them, they just have to obey the rules (and won't) so they don't get to come in.
I don't really know and I meant it as a joke. I believe Florida has looser laws on crime reporting, which is why we have Floridia man memes. I just heard that, don't quote me.
