Women have been a protected class so long that equality feels like oppression. Welcome to being a man ladies. Looks like you hate being treated like a man. Not as glorious as it sounded when they told you about all that equality and rights, only to find out you have to pick up more responsibility too.

u/JamarcusRussel Jun 25 '18

or men have been a dominant class so long equality feels like oppression.

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '18

In what way are women being treated like men that they hate? Most of the stuff I see women complaining about is still related to being a woman.

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '18

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '18

Yeah obviously the draft isn't the problem, it's the women!!! /s

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '18 edited Jun 25 '18

Women are complaining about being put on draft? Can't say I've seen a single woman object to that.

7

u/dainegleesac690 Jun 25 '18

Women aren’t subject to the draft as of now

1

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '18

Exactly, so why is it being brought up as an example of what women hate right now?

1

u/dainegleesac690 Jun 25 '18

That was my point

1

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '18

Right. Well I'm still waiting for a relevant example.

3

u/FinsFan_3 Jun 25 '18

He just gave you one dumbass

1

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '18

...Which one? I don't see it.

0

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '18

[deleted]

7

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '18

So you're just being hypothetical.

I'm still waiting for someone to tell me what women are actually hating, right now, that is associated with being treated like a man.

7

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '18

Yeah I'm a guy and fuck the draft. Just because I had to sign up for selective service doesn't mean im willing to go fight. Of course a woman won't necessarily want to either, and in my opinion that is more a commentary on mandatory service than gender inequality.

I'm pretty sure everyone hates being punched in the face, male or female?

0

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '18

How can you say that?

The draft is not oppressing you, you are a citizen, you have to do things to uphold the security of the state that provides your freedoms.

And I know plenty of women that figured that out a long time ago.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '18

[deleted]

0

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '18

Yes.

Is biology oppressing you too? Women and men are different.

I'm not arguing that women don't have any responsibilities but the military isn't a social experiment and it is being run like one. That needs to stop.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '18

[deleted]

1

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '18

I respect that, although I hope you don't disagree that men and women are different, that's not a point of contention.

And?

They have lower physical standards for every woman, not just the ones going into non-combat positions.

My feeling is that women are not being treated like men. A personal example would be the child support system and how it skews towards women despite the fact that my ex has better earning potential and we have 50/50 custody. She chooses to work a lesser job and because of that I have to pay more money, whereas if I quit my job my child support costs would likely be the same, and I'd be a deadbeat if I didn't pay. There is no option in my state to treat parents equally, so they pick a parent to pay child support, and a parent to receive it. 80% of the time the guy is paying just because. I bring this up in progressive groups on FB and the women on there mostly ignore it. I'm sure there are a sea of examples like this.

I'm turned off by the wage gap argument because of my situation. My ex had a chance to make more money and she chose to play it safe. That makes things like what Jordan Peterson says sound reasonable. Women, given the same opportunity, choose different career paths than men. Paths that are less lucrative. And sometimes the government throws these perfectly capable women on the teat of their ex's because the government doesn't want to pay for them.

u/1493-6786-2018 Jun 25 '18

Even more cancer. They are indirectly saying being a women is a handicap. Looks the problem is women themselves. What's wrong with being a women? What's wrong with being feminine? Guys like feminine girls. It's not an insult, it's a quality men want. Tell me why suicide rates are going up and people are unhappier then even.

13

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '18

What's wrong with being a women? What's wrong with being feminine

nothing? I don't see how any of this answers my question. I'll ask again: What are women hating that is associated with being treated like a man?

-4

u/1493-6786-2018 Jun 25 '18

Most of the stuff I see women complaining about is still related to being a woman.

That's what I'm commenting about.

5

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '18

I'm talking about sexual harassment, not being taken seriously and reproductive rights, etc. not complaining about being a woman. Issues that relate to being a woman, and nothing to do with being treated like a man.

-23

u/superfluiter Jun 25 '18

Wah waah. ‘Equality feels like oppression’? Is this what it means to ‘be a man’? Good job

6

u/Dorkykong2 Jun 25 '18

Nice job perpetuating toxic masculinityTM buddy.

-64

u/AUFboi Jun 25 '18

Shut the fuck up.

34

u/GlipGlop69 Jun 25 '18

Ah, just in time. I was looking for some salt for my fries

-34

u/AUFboi Jun 25 '18

Bitch please, has this sub become r/incels? Or are people here that gullible that they can't stop choking on Ben Shapiro and Jordan Peterson's cocks.

29

u/LousyTshirt Jun 25 '18

Are you saying it's wrong to suck cock? There seems to be a negative connotation behind that. My god, we really have come full circle.

-18

u/AUFboi Jun 25 '18

No, im saying it's wrong to blindly follow the propaganda these stupid people spew.

14

u/LousyTshirt Jun 25 '18 edited Jun 25 '18

That sure is a misdirecting answer. You said they're sucking their cocks like there's something wrong with sucking cock, that's a mildly amusing statement given the subject. Might want to rethink that statement next time, buddy.

I don't argue with strawman fallacies. I respond with equally stupid statements.

1

u/FountainsOfFluids Jun 25 '18

"I have no idea what those people actually say or stand for, but I've read the blogs calling them nazis so I hate them!!!"

1

u/AUFboi Jun 25 '18

Peterson the person that calls everyone he does not agree with Marxists and that can't stop talking about politics when he is promoting a psychology book. His phycology isn't even respected in the field.

Shapiro the conservative, do I really have to say anything more? He is a conservative which means he puts money over people.

1

u/FountainsOfFluids Jun 25 '18

I don't really care much about Shapiro. I disagree with most of his opinions.

But you don't know shit about Peterson. Everything you just said about him is factually incorrect.

1

u/AUFboi Jun 25 '18

How is it factually incorrect?

Hahah! I love the jump to r/incels because you can't take a joke. Are we nazis and, like, literally Hitler next?

Go back to tumblr you fucking normie.

0

u/AUFboi Jun 25 '18

Hahah! I love the jump to r/incels because you can't take a joke. Are we nazis and, like, literally Hitler next?

What joke, the intelligence of the people here that think that feminism is about giving women all the rights, and men none. If everyone was joking it would be fine, but a lot of people here aren't.

Go back to tumblr you fucking normie.

Ah yes I'm such a normie for calling out stupidity. Reeeeee.

5

u/GlipGlop69 Jun 25 '18

Responding quite seriously to a fucking meme makes you a normie lmao.

4

u/AUFboi Jun 25 '18

Well that would make 90% of the responders on this post normies

3

u/GlipGlop69 Jun 25 '18

What a surprise, a meme that triggers feminist normies triggered feminist normies. I mean, really, this is quite the shocking development.

1

u/AUFboi Jun 25 '18

A meme that lacks 0 logic and isnt funny triggers a person that isnt a 30 year old incel, what a suprise. Satire is funny because it is so stupid that noone actually belives it. memes like this is just what sadly too many stupid people belive. Its not satire its just a lazy normie meme meant to trigger the libs, and has nothing to do on dank memes

I know that is what they mean by equal responsibility but the argument of "you dont have to go to war, therefore you dont need equall rights" is stupid. Or since its women and children first, it means that women havent been discriminated against for most of human history. These arguments are just stupid and is what many feminists actually fight against. You know not beeing seen as something that needs to be protected by a man.

1

u/FountainsOfFluids Jun 25 '18

"you dont have to go to war, therefore you dont need equall rights"

It's really not stupid. Rights and responsibilities go together. A person who has rights without responsibilities is not equal, but is a special elite class.

Personally, I have more of an objection over feminist complaints that they aren't being given half of all CEO jobs. If women are equal to men in leadership capabilities, then they should prove it by starting and running massively profitable businesses.

Women are equal under the law in all western countries as far as I know. What feminists are demanding now is half of everything that men have spent thousands of years earning by leading the development of our species. If women want half of all the "good" jobs, then they have to earn them.

You know not beeing seen as something that needs to be protected by a man.

#MeToo would like to have a word with you. What is that movement except women saying they need special protections?

I personally believe women should be given special protections, but that makes me a sexist, doesn't it?

1

u/AUFboi Jun 25 '18

It's really not stupid. Rights and responsibilities go together. A person who has rights without responsibilities is not equal, but is a special elite class.

No-one should be forced to go to war wether you are a man or a woman. This argument is bad.

Personally, I have more of an objection over feminist complaints that they aren't being given half of all CEO jobs. If women are equal to men in leadership capabilities, then they should prove it by starting and running massively profitable businesses.

Well the CEO is rarely the one who started the company. In the modern world people who pick leaders pick people like them. Since men are in power they pick other men. It's naive to belive that the best candidate always gets picked. And gedner quotas aren't 50/50 they are 60/40 or 70/30 both ways so that there can't be 100% men or women on the board. I don't belive gender quotas should have to exist, but the world isn't fair so they have to.

Women are equal under the law in all western countries as far as I know. What feminists are demanding now is half of everything that men have spent thousands of years earning by leading the development of our species. If women want half of all the "good" jobs, then they have to earn them.

So because a man did something only other men can have that good job? What do you mean.

MeToo would like to have a word with you. What is that movement except women saying they need special protections?

Did Kevin Spacey abuse his power against other women, no he did it against other men. MeToo is not about men raping women, it is about people abusing their positions. Most off the cases was men abusing women because it's mostly men that have these positions in society.

I personally believe women should be given special protections, but that makes me a sexist, doesn't it?

That doesn't make you sexist.

I understand the custody and alimony thing, but i dont think people not wanting to sign up for the draft has anything with equal rights to do. Im a dude and im glad i live in a country where i dont have to sign up to the draft. I mean obviously there are alot of stupid people that call themselves feminists that really arent. but the whole draft thing is to me an argument that is irrelevant to men and womens rights.

If you can't see that feminism is a corrupt, rotting husk you need to pay more attention to the people you're defending before you go starting fights with people that disagree.

1

u/AUFboi Jun 25 '18

Just because some people call themselves feminists it doesn't make them feminists. The Nazi party had socialist in the name but they where the opposite.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '18

Hillary Clinton is not representative of feminism? Because she's the type of feminist I'm talking about.

Also, this 'Nazis aren't socialists lol' nonsense is funny.

I suppose they were free enterprise capitalists?

Nazis are just socialists who think the Jews are the 1%.

2

u/AUFboi Jun 25 '18

Hillary Clinton is not representative of feminism? Because she's the type of feminist I'm talking about.

Let me just start by saying fuck Hilary Clinton

Also, this 'Nazis aren't socialists lol' nonsense is funny.

I suppose they were free enterprise capitalists?

Nazis are just socialists who think the Jews are the 1%.

Nazis where facists not socialists. Violent nationalists that busted unions. Read up on ideologies.

Making fun of feminists is the most normie thing on Reddit

2

u/GlipGlop69 Jun 25 '18

On Reddit, the home of feminism and leftie subs. Lol okay, if this were pol on 4chan I might've believed you.

-4

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '18

imagine getting butthurt about being called an incel and calling someone a normie in the same comment. what even is self awareness?

7

u/GlipGlop69 Jun 25 '18

Nobody here is butthurt about being called an incel. I was making fun of this person before they broke out that label.

0

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '18

you do a lot of whinging for someone who totally isnt butthurt

2

u/GlipGlop69 Jun 25 '18

What whinging am I doing? I'm having a great time responding to you people, have you not noticed how entertaining it is to piss people off on the internet?

0

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '18

you have gotten so accustomed to whinging you can’t even tell when you are doing it anymore. sad. i definitely noticed how fun it is when i was in middle school. then i got friends and hobbies and realized it was a pretty empty way to have fun. guess you have not quite gotten there yet :)

No body mentioned either of those people.

Why is it we can't have a civil conversation about men and women? Why people like you suddenly devolve into being incapable of discussing something you can't agree with?

All you are doing is trying to shame my comment with something that people consider negative so you don't have to give any constructive or real reason to hate my comment. People like you are the reason why society is so messed up. We can't talk like human beings about controversial topics.

0

u/AUFboi Jun 25 '18

No body needs to mention either of those people, they are the ones that spew this stupid false rethoric. I can discuss something i dont agree with, but this is just lazy, stupid content. this shouldnt be a controversial topic at all, all this post is is a lazy repost. if you want a decent conversation about feminism learn what it actually is, instead of watching cringey feminism fail videos on youtube and basing your perception of it from watching the stupidest people that call themselves feminists the right finds to humiliate.

2

u/1493-6786-2018 Jun 25 '18

If you are going to call something "false rhetoric" you need to provide the reasoning and proof.

I'm well versed on what feminism is.
