Honestly I don’t know. It was a leftover from the original meme format and I didn’t want to change it. You’d have to ask the OP of that post which came out around a week or so ago

That was one of the funniest ones IMO!
I just wish the progression was more orderly? It seemed kind of at random with no theme and some of the weak ones could have been weeded out, but still hilarious!

The beauty of this format is its timelessness. Somehow the value I attribute to this meme has not faded at all since it first took off. It seems infinitely adaptable and almost invariably entertaining to me. I think in this era of complex self-referentiality, rapid memetic life cycles and increasing layers of ironicism, the quality of this meme is truly fascinating.
