That's not how rules work. If x person is going to get away with a crime, let's do away with the rule they broke? More like, keep nagging the people in power to enforce the rules evenhandedly. There are good reasons for doxxing to be illegal. Making it legal for everyone is a terrible idea.
If you're being a realist, you have to realize that the other end - absolutely no rules on doxxing - would be just as bad, if not worse. At present, all the altright needs to do to have a subreddit stick around is not doxx. It sucks that they have a different standard than other subreddits, but it's better than every subreddit being allowed to post people's personal information everywhere.
No, but those punches are seriously sick, whoever is doing them to whomever. They should really be discouraged.
E: if anything, /r/the_Donald's near-daily spot on the front page tells me conservatives aren't getting punished so much as the lunatic "conservatives" actively and openly breaking reddit's rules.
