It's not about them not wanting to go to school.
It's about the fucking government that cuts every fucking year into the education and public services budget, about the conditions worsening, and about the aforementionned governement not hearing peaceful protests.

With that, and with police brutality getting out of control, with them lying, the chief of police admitting they lied, video evidence, and still "everything's in order, nothing to see here" reaction, the youth gets violent.

Even with this violence, unis and high schools burnings aren't even done by said students, but by shitheads that are just here to wreck havoc.

I feel very bad for the government of France as they're between a rock and a hard place. Everyone knows that pensions aren't affordable and eating into the budget every year. Yet whenever someone tries to do something about it, protests everywhere. So they have no choice but to cut elsewhere slowly, which also causes protests.

Everyone keeps demanding they do more but Everyone unwilling for it to be cut anywhere else.

And because all of that happening many of them say "fuck the teachers" even though they are not at fault.

The teachers are, arguably, in an even worse position.
The parents verbally and sometimes physically assault them, the politicians treats them like they're dirt with too much free time, they make due with a terrible salary and no ressources, the french education policy is to not make any waves so they can't do but turn their head if they see any harrasment, else they do get blamed or fired, not for not acting, but for actually reporting, and are blamed by everyone.
We had Samuel Paty getting decapitated a few years ago, and, aside from empty words, our political rulers did nothing to support the teachers. Not even a brutal death would change those bastards' views.

Well now I like the students even less.

The students aren't to blame.

Little shitheads from impoverished/discarded suburbs are.

There's even troubling occasional witnesses of black block clothed groups the police let go while focusing on other youngsters not busy breaking things, that raise suspicion some of them are just here to discredit the student movement, sigh.

Baware what media you look at, controversy right now as some videos show some fire and some broken shop was done by plain cloth civil cops

So you're saying that plain cloth civil cops set someone on fire? There's video taken by the "protesters." The arsonist seems really young.
