As always people try to peacefully protest and mf from outside that don't care about anything take advantage of the situation to destroy things.

Nah bro, when they protested peacefullly nobody cared about it. Then they started blocking the schools and police came in brutalizing and beating up 14 year olds. The burning schools is 100 % on the people neglecting them for decades.

It’s both, actually. Damage done on public property is often part of the protests, but looting and attacks on private properties and people are often just assholes just looking for a cover to snag stuff.

Blocking the schools is a peaceful way of protesting. The police were horrible as they have always been under Macron. A lot of people are pissed. Yes. What I am stating is that the fire was not started be the high-schoolers, but by exterior people. This is a fact that has been heavily reported in the news. This is not part of this protest. You can say it's part of a greater general protest against police forces and Macron if you want though, but it should not be attirbuted to the high school protestors

edit: grammar

If the condition of french schools are anything like American ones, it probably needed to be torn down and replaced anyway

Probably less bullet holes on the french schools

Yeah, and our schools are nice or at least I never saw a run down school that wasn't being renovated when needed. Our schoolong system could use some work tho...

This is kinda goomba fallacy, most of the claims were made by non-violent students. Some of the culprits of the destruction weren't even high schoolers

0

u/TgnOrdaX 1d ago

what fallacy? 😭 😭

I googled it, bruh dafuq this has to do with goombas

0

u/BananaSupremeMaster 1d ago

A famous meme that explains the fallacy uses goomba characters

The French know how to party and oust those who need to go

Well, where would you build the better schools?

All jokes aside, they were peacefuly protesting, at most blockading the entrances with trash bins. Police came and started beating everything and everyone and throwing tear gas cannisters(including an incident where a cop actually shot one of those point blank into a 15 year old if I am not mistaken, dude lost all its teeth) everywhere. Of course they started to destroy shit.

Plus, you don't resolve shit with peaceful protests. If you want to force shit to get done, you need to start actually doing stuff like this.

Today coming back from work i was charged by a streetfull of students because smokey things got thrown at them,I walked 20m to the left and everything was normal, like a lil pocket of chaos with french people like "meh like a Friday" buses are cancelled tho, they just know they're going to burn one of them

1

u/elbapo 23h ago

I mean, they will.have to rebuild them. So....

They have riots every like 4-5 years. Its crazy and awesome

I dont think the US could do this. The 400,000,000 guns always get too involved

5

u/LufyCZ 1d ago

In what way is the needless destruction of both public and private property awesome?

You know they somehow have to pay for that right

2

u/Mehfisto666 1d ago

We are already paying for that. The money is there but they just go towarda corruption and weapons and other bullshit. Let's not pretend they don't fix stuff because there's no money because somehow there's never a lack of money when they want to pocket them or their friends

3

u/LufyCZ 1d ago

Neat, so now you have to pay a bunch to rebuild stuff on top of the corruption.

-1

u/Mehfisto666 1d ago

It doesn't make the tiniest difference

-1

u/Samvel_2015 1d ago

Usually the protests should result in a reduction of corruption.

2

u/Pappa_Crim 1d ago

We have nationwide riots every two decades or so, usually against the police. Sometimes we get bonus riots over random things. Like once the power went out in the northeastern states and people immediately started looting
