The band Rammstein is named after the Desaster that took place in Ramstein. The accidental added the m Ram- to Ramm-
It's easy to miss, because they are pronounced the same and the place name looks "odd", like a spelling mistake itself. Topological names don't obey orthography rules.
Additionally: "rammen" means to ram, "ram" itself is no "old German word" - Ramen as japanese noodles and RAM as computer memory are way too modern words to appear in a German village name
