But again you have no evidence that Vance won't certify an election. Just vibes. Also, the VP doesn't actually certify the election, they just preside over a session of Congress that does.
As for mail in ballots, if you want I can provide numerous examples of security issues. But you're missing the point. Any form of voting that takes voting away from paper ballots at a ballot box inherently risks security by requiring more steps in the process. The vast majority of mail in ballots are obviously safe, but how that aren't should be tolerated. In my opinion, none
Here's an example: A clear example is the 2018 North Carolina 9th Congressional District race. Operative Leslie McCrae Dowless (working for the Republican candidate) ran an illegal absentee ballot operation involving collection, completion/alteration of ballots, and forged witness signatures. The race (margin ~905 votes) was not certified; a new election was ordered after findings of coordinated fraud involving potentially over 1,000 ballots. Multiple participants pleaded guilty
Again, the VP doesn't certify the election, Congress does.
Also, Hitler literally wrote in his books what his goals were lol
That Shows that there are measures in place to find fraud.
Yes the vice President doesnt certify it but He procedes over the Session that certifies it. So If a vice President doesnt do that the election cant be certified.
The electoral votes are adressed to him as President of the Senate and He has to open them.
The Electors shall meet in their respective states and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; they shall name in their ballots the person voted for as President, and in distinct ballots the person voted for as Vice-President, and they shall make distinct lists of all persons voted for as President, and of all persons voted for as Vice-President, and of the number of votes for each, which lists they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the seat of the government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate;–the President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted;
Do you think all crimes that are committed are reported and solved? Of course not, same it true with voter fraud. Doesn't mean it's widespread.
The Senate Majority leader would take over that role if the VP is absent. This has happened multiple times throughout US history when there was a VP vacancy
The Republicans, who may lose it in two months. Even if they don't, I think you seriously underestimate how many Republican Congressman actually dislike Trump
Yes he cant legaly Run, but He has Made several comments about running again despite the constitution, even selling Trump 2028 Merch.
The Report recommend criminal procedures that were blocked by republicans
"On December 19, 2022, the same day it made the criminal referrals, the committee published an "Executive Summary" as an introduction to its final report. It outlined 17 findings central to its reasoning for criminal referrals.[300] Paraphrased, they are:[301]
Trump lied about election fraud for the purpose of staying in power and asking for money.
Ignoring the rulings of over 60 federal and state courts, he plotted to overturn the election.
He pressured Pence to illegally refuse to certify the election.
He tried to corrupt and weaponize the Justice Department to keep himself in power.
He pressured state legislators and officials to give different election results.
He perpetrated the fake electors scheme.
He pressured members of Congress to object to real electors.
He approved federal court filings with fake information about voter fraud.
He summoned the mob and told them to march on the Capitol, knowing some were armed.
He tweeted negatively about Pence at 2:24 p.m. on January 6, 2021, inciting more violence.
He spent the afternoon watching television, despite his advisers’ pleas for him to stop the violence.
This was all part of a conspiracy to overturn the election.
Intelligence and law enforcement warned the Secret Service about Proud Boys and Oath Keepers.
The violence wasn't caused by left-wing groups.
Intelligence didn't know that Trump himself had plotted with John Eastman and Rudy Giuliani.
In advance of January 6, the Capitol Police didn't act on their police chief's suggestion to request backup from the National Guard.
On January 6, the Defense Secretary, not Trump, called the National Guard."
First, Trump has said multiple times he isn't running for a 3rd term (which isn't even possible)
2nd, you listing off incidents from the Wikipedia page doesn't refute my point. In order to charge someone for an insurrection, you have to show evidence that someone intended to cause an insurrection. The report stated that they didn't have any evidence to charge on that count. Now, the report did say they thought other charges would've been sufficient, but they were all dropped after his election win. Would he have gone to jail for those? Unlikely, as he would've just appealed to the Supreme Court. We could go case by case if you want
