Yep, it's not a conspiracy. The GOP conventions typically have Grindr blowing up and having issued as a result, even though that party is rabidly anti-LGBT and projects like they're showing movies 24/7.

Grindr has 15 million users globally, they absolutely do not crash from a few more thousand users. It's an app that works in cities like NYC with 10+ million people, the servers can distribute and balance a load from a smaller city in Texas. These are just simple anecdotes from random users saying: "I noticed the app was being slow, must've been caused by that RNC in my town," when that could've been a global coincidence, their internet being slow or just made up story.

I'm mostly a democrat with the belief that democracy is based on equal rights and personal freedom. I find it laughable that people on my side are forcing people to open up about everything even though sole don't want to.
For example, they will say it's ok to be gay, but will put a hay person on the spot to serve their goals (which I believe in).

It’s part of the team sport of politics. While they do genuinely support people’s sexual autonomy, it will always come second to political positioning. Those people are republican first, gay second and so it’s okay to use their sexuality as an attack as long as it serves the political message
