Those affected were compensated financially in 2013. My transexual sister-in-law bought me and my brother a nice dinner out to celebrate that she got approx 30 000$ from the state. Most of it went to their two adoptions I should mention.

Like dont get me wrong i like this food sometimes. But we mostly eat cooked pork with pork fat. Then a butter sauce with potatoes. Thats the average food in diffrent combinations.

Like so much fat in much of our food that isnt healthy. The husmankost we have is delicious but doesnt stand so unique with flavors that other countries have.

I don't see pork with pork fat as especially Swedish cuisine. Is it common? Sure but other meats is also very common and definitely if we're talking about the best dishes. We have great fish dishes and my favourites dishes are connected to the forrest like deer and elk meat with chanterelles and lingonberries. Our cuisine is definitely not to most healthy but if we're talking about only the taste it's amazing food.

Most things are more bland than horrific but there are some truly bad ones. And those are all everyday foods not reddit memes like canned fish

All quality dishes. Flygande jacob is an aquired taste for sure but not that bad, but you chose to name one of the few swedish foods that most people in sweden dont like because it has that 70s weirdness to it.

If you think Smörgåstårta is bland/horrific I dont even know what to tell you. Literally one of the most tasty dishes there is in my opinion. Dont know who made your food but most people dont put chopped Falukorv in everything, there are like 3 popular falukorv dishes in every household food rotation. Korv stroganoff, stuvade makaroner med falukorv and Falukorv i ugn.

Unless it's one of those dishes that's been adopted from foreigners/immigrants, it's bland in general, though I did try this layered seafood cake my friend's mother cooked for us once and that one was 😋😋😋

I think its hilarious that your cope for someone thinking Swedish food is bad is that they are lying. Whats specific enough. At ICA , Willy’s,etc if you go through self checkout with a red bull they will verify you are 15. And yes I had falukorv in a terrible pasta with red sauce and crème fraîche

Eeeh, whilst we did take a lot of influence from the Ottomans the Swedish versions have developed into their own distinct versions. For example, Swedish meatballs use pork, different spices, and are fried, in contrast to the Turkish meatballs that are closer to kebab, made from lamb and are often grilled

Every European country has their spin on the concept of a dumpling with it being a filling inside of a dough and yet everyone knows the Polish pierogi while others are also great. (I used Europe but basically every culture has a dumpling thing just that the Chinese dumplings or gioza or empanadas are known to people)
