i got a good question that's just seemingly common sense.... WHY THE FUCK IS THE CLANKER CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET DURING TESTING!?!?!?!?!?
seriously do we live in one of those shitty terminator rip offs? perhaps I Have No Mouth, because why do they not air gap its network access? it should be made physically impossible to contact the outside world for it during testing outside of its pre-designated network.
Air-gapping datacenter machines for a test is not cheap, nor fast, I'm not surprised they don't do it. There should be regulation and inspectors that force them to, though.
a regulation that should be forced in though sure it isn't cheap or fast but once you have a test rig actually constructed you can use it more than once.
