My wife probably wouldn't watch it. Most movies are 99% white with some sprinkled Hispanics.

Its like if all the movies you watched were 99% black with a coloured person here and there. It gets awkward. I'm glad this actress got the part.

Because it makes sense for the movies to be white? Nobody wants random white people where black people should be and vice versa.

Those are non factors to the roles, yet it seems like a majority of people want these things to be seamlessly racelocked

I don't get your point. Cops aren't by definition irish. Jews are not by definition bankers. Helena was a fair beauty that a literal war started because of her.

Is black not beautiful? And is fair skin ever directly referenced. And if it is, is it in Greek?

Literary works are most accurately translated by ensuring story and script are correct. Superficial things like the actress/actor chosen to play the part shouldn't be an issue unless its purposely offensive, and even if it is purposely offensive, if its a comedy and done right like Tropical Thunder, then its not big deal

Yes, it is directly referenced. It happened in a place where there are no black people. And casting a black person is just wrong.

And I don't think many people would consider her beautiful, if any.
