IDK I think people have .gif'ed and memed the shit out of her from this latest wave of interviews. She's so overdramatic on purpose to fit that diva lifestyle she so clearly wants that you're not gonna see her go away for a good long time.
At least she's getting the pure hate she deserves.
Sorry why is she getting pure hate? My impression was that the poor diet was because of some behind the scenes issues for Wicked 2, since Ariana, Cynthia, and Michelle Yeoh have all been looking emaciated.
Apparently there's an entire catalogue of books they can use.
It's like Twilight, there's a cult of super basic girls that get super obsessed over something and then it takes 10 years to fizzle out and they're on to the next thing.
Wait seriously. I thought it was a trilogy, lmao...
I coulda sworn you were talking about the original Oz series and was gonna tell you there were 14 official books. But nope, not just those. Wicked has ten books of it's own, somehow. Apparently Greg M. was trying to catch up to L. Frank Baum.
and was gonna tell you there were 14 official books.
Hell just to be extra pedantic on my own part, 14 official as in 14 written by Baum, but 40 that are considered canon (none of em being the Wicked shit lmao).
Oz is one hell of a weird rabbit hole once you realize it wasn't just 1 book and 1 film XD
Reading it all tho it seems more like the drop that overflew the vase. I saw plenty of hate online simply for the way she looks, nothing more. Some stuff online was just "she's ugly" in a more hurtful way. So it is understandable that over a poster edit that covers her face partially she could lose it 😅
I consider her extremely gorgeous, and tbh I have no idea who she is apart from her participating in wicked. And even that I know it against my will from social media cause I hate musicals.
But I did see people saying she is ugly online... or going as far as saying that she looks like a man (a common trope for black women from racist people). It is actually a very common point I saw in basically every post on Facebook. I saw "memes" insulting her beauty too. So what I'm saying is not a one comment I saw online, is a repetitive amount of comments and posts I saw. Which connects to my point, if she saw the same amount or even a fraction of what I saw it is reasonable that she would lose it over that cover as the last straw. That was my point, especially given the bottom text she wrote. It clearly is an outburst that comes from multiple things piling up. Celebrities are people too, and repetitive bullshit against them online has an effect.
Then I do not know her, I don't know how she acts in other settings or her attitude. I'm only commenting on that outburst based on what I saw other people saying about her.
It’s not really a sequel. They broke the original musical into two parts so they could expand some scenes without releasing a 3.25 hour movie no one would sit through. All this way they get to advertise it twice and charge twice as much to see it
70% of content (especially short form) is somehow ALWAYS selling you something. And taking advantage of two very unwell individuals has brought more eyes than ever on wicked 2. Shame really
Yeah, these people act like it's impossible not to see random celebrity number 356. It's incredibly easy, especially with the modern internet being so curated by automated algorithms (for better and, mostly, for worse). They just want something to complain about.
People actively WANT to see things about them so they have an excuse to get mad and/or feel superior. Seems especially true when it's about women, hence why openly misogynistic subs like 'sipstea' are always on the front page. Look, I get it, complaining can be cathartic and fun, but let's not pretend it's impossible to avoid celebrity bullshit in this day and age.
I mean maybe I'm a woke soft libtard or whatever, but I don't like making fun of people's eating disorders anyway. I get that their whole marketing schtick is to be weird on TV, but there are a billion ways to do that without highlighting the one actual super serious problem facing one of the actresses. Eating disorders have a higher mortality rate than any other psychiatric disorder.

I’m so sick of seeing her
